Jobs and Quests on ECC has just received a major overhaul! We have migrated to a fully immersive system that focuses on performing game actions for rewards.
BETA Launch:
This Jobs and Quests update is a BETA launch. The system is still a work in progress, and values/settings may change as we observe how things go. Expect bugs or issues, and we’ll work to resolve them and adjust things as needed.
Jobs/Quests Areas:
The /warp jobs and /warp quests are now closed as we have migrated to this system.
With that said; buckle in and read up, there is much to go over and all of it is very exciting!

EcoCityCraft Jobs: What's New!
Jobs will no longer be simply turning in shulkers of items into signs, you will now earn income for your game actions! Keep reading to find out more!
New Interface:
Jobs have been overhauled with a shiny new interface. This interface is the front page of the EcoCityCraft Jobs system.
/jobsinfo
Jobs are now accessible via a custom interactive interface.
- Includes a icon leading directly to the official ECC Job List
- Includes an icon that opens the Jobs Shop (more info on that later).
- Includes an icon that leads to the official ECC Quest List (more info on those later).
/jobslist
/joblist2
- Click on Job icons to get income information posted in your chat
- Click on Name Tags to join a specific Job.
- Rank-specific Jobs will tell you if you can or cannot yet join that job (more info shortly on rank-specific jobs)
Jobs Info:
When you are joined in a job you will earn EcoDollars, Job Points and Job EXP when you perform the actions that job pays out for.
Example:
Novice Miner Job Info
The blue text shows the action to perform and the blocks involved, along with how many EcoDollars, Job Points, and Job EXP you’ll earn. For example, breaking 10 Stone blocks earns $0.50, 0.10 Job Points, and 10 Job EXP."
Levelling Jobs:
Jobs level up like McMMO skills. You can only level up by performing the job’s specific actions. The higher your level, the more income you earn per action.
Level Limits:
Income increases are currently capped at job level 500. Even if you reach level 1000, you’ll earn as if you were level 500. This cap helps keep the economy balanced.
Ranked Job Progression:
Here’s the game-changer—rank-specific Jobs! As you rank up, you unlock higher-paying jobs with more opportunities to earn. For example, as a Resident, you gain access to the Apprentice Miner job, earning more while you mine!
Example:
Jobs stack in income and points. If you're in both Novice and Apprentice jobs, you'll earn from both. However, EXP applies only to each job individually.
Example:
The current job rankings are as such;
- Novice Miner: $0.05 and 0.01 Job Points per stone block break, 1 Job EXP.
- Apprentice Miner: $0.05 and 0.01 Job Points per stone block break, 1 Job EXP.
- Total Earnings:
- $0.10 and 0.02 Job Points per Stone block break. Novice and Apprentice each earn 1 Job EXP. Income increases as you level both jobs, but only EcoDollar income stacks, not points or EXP.
Builder:
Resident:
- Novice level Jobs
Mayor:
- All previous jobs
- Apprentice level Jobs
President:
- All previous jobs
- Initiate level Jobs
Tycoon and higher ranked Jobs will be coming soon after the BETA launch.
- All previous jobs
- Professional level Jobs
Rank-Specific Jobs:
We are planning to introduce jobs tailored to specific grinds at different ranks. These will create more ways to earn while completing Minecraft challenges, making ranking up even more rewarding! Expect jobs for gathering Quartz from the Nether, breaking down Sea Temples, Ancient Cities, and more!
Job Slots Limits:
Each rank has a limit of how many jobs they can join. This limit increases with ranking up and currently caps at President.
Job Limits by Rank:
These limits encourage you to choose jobs strategically, rather than enabling everything at once. Job income stacks, so to maximize mining, you might want to join all available Miner jobs. We’re also planning ways to increase job limits soon... stay tuned!
- Builder: 3 jobs
- Resident: 5 jobs
- Mayor: 8 jobs
- President: 12 jobs
These limits increase as you rank up, capped at President for now.
Leaving Jobs:
You can leave the rank jobs with no penalty.
/jobs leave <jobname>
/jobs leaveall
- All Job names are one word for this command. I.E Novice Miner -> noviceminer.
- Leaves the targeted job, you will no longer earn income/points/exp for actions when you have left a job.
- Use this to leave all your current jobs.
Jobs/Quests and Magic Tools:
Certain Magic Tools aren’t compatible with job/quest actions. Avoid using these tools if you want to level up/complete quests:
- Magic Shovel: No income/points/EXP (same as McMMO).
- Magic Shears: No income from sheep shearing.
- Magic Axe: No income/points/EXP in Tree Feller mode. In Regular Mode with McMMO Tree Feller, you’ll earn at 20% of the rate due to the block-breaking speed. This applies to Normal/Star Axes as well
Job Points and Jobs Shop
You can spend Job Points in the Jobs Shop:
- /jobs shop opens the Jobs Shop, where you can use Job Points for rare and valuable rewards.
- The shop offers high-demand items like crate keys, tools, and more. For now, it only includes the GodDrop at a high Job Points cost.
- The Jobs Shop is in BETA and will be updated with more items over time.
Jobs Prestige:
We are planning to introduce a Main Server prestige tied to Jobs, based on specific Job achievements. Stay tuned for more details!

Quests Prestige:
We are planning to introduce a Main Server prestige tied to Quests, based on specific Quest achievements. This prestige will be separate from Events Prestige. Stay tuned for more details!
Quest Points and Quest Rewards:
What’s not changing:
Current Quest Points:
- You can will still be able to trade-in Quest Points for rewards and use Quests to earn Prestige.
- We will continue accepting reward requests on the official EcoCityCraft Quests thread and tracking points as before.
What’s likely to happen:
- Quest Reward redemptions will not be accepted during the BETA period.
- Existing points will be snapshotted and recorded.
- The new system will adjust the rate of earning and reward prices, so current points will be scaled accordingly. No points will be lost, and you’ll retain the same buying power.
/questrewards (Coming soon!)
- Quest points and reward prices will be adjusted by the same percentage after the BETA launch.
- Once we have enough data, we’ll finalize adjustments. Until then, your points are recorded internally, so feel free to try out the new quests! We will keep you updated on any changes and announcements.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- A new interface will show available rewards for purchase with Quest Points.
That is just about it for you all. Feel free to explore the system, join some jobs and work on leveling up and earning money for actions.
Once again this is a BETA system, this means that there are planned changes, adjustments and fixes to be made during the full implementation.
As always if you find any bugs or issues, please fill out a bug report in https://ecc.eco/help
