http://pcpartpicker.com/user/bandgeek12345/saved/4OEP this is a nice little budget system that will do work. you can always go bigger with any of the parts if your budget allows. but this is a great medium-high range system. this parts build is assuming you have a keyboard, screen, and a mouse.
i do like the parts chosen.. bit i would definitly swap out that 260x for a 750ti. the pricing is higher. but the performance comes with it.
keyboards can vary in price. from 10 to 150. it all depends on your preference. firstly i would recommend going to a bestbuy and trying out different types of keyboards to see what you like. from mechanical switches to rubber dome switches.. because keyboards are about tactile feedback to your fingers i cant give too much recommendations on them. its all preference. as for a screen i would recommend going to craigslist or similar. people waste money on screens all the time so they sell off good working screens for cheap.
if you have no preference on a keyboard you might want to craigslist one of those too. just make sure all the buttons work. you can pick up a decent oldschool one for around 10-20$
Yes I agree! I bulit mine with a 600 buget an I bulit a pretty good one! I started with a GT 649 GPU and a year later or so I upgraded to a GTX 770, computers you have made your self are nice since you can change anything on them later on down the road. Witch you cant sometimes do with store bought PCs.
That computer should be able to run minecraft well and smooth at a pretty good frame rate on max settings, but if you plan on playing those resource intensive steam games, you should take a custom build or a newer refurbished/S&D computer. You can find them very cheap on ebay edit: Just noticed this! That computer, although cheap will be a lot slower (as it has a 32 bit OS) than a newer computer you can get S&D and refurbished. If you don't want to custom build or buy a new new computer, I'd recommend this computer. It's power efficient, has enough RAM and storage, andhas a very powerful processor. The only thing is it has windows 8.1, which isn't bad, but just takes a little while to get used to and adapt to it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lenovo-Idea...1344058503?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item27e4e6d887
I play my games on an i3 3240 with integrated graphics and it runs minecraft fine (up to my standards) so I probably have really low standards xD My thinking is that if it runs smooth, it's good xD I'm assuming that he wants performance too, so that would suffice unless you plan on doing something massive. That machine can probably also run CAD and photoshop fine no problem
