I like this idea... Food would be amazing. D: Diamonds are worthless now, anyway.. People have control over the diamond economy, so they never sell anymore. They are only used for tools, too, but you only need them for obsidian farming, which very few have patience for...

I think we should see how 1.8 plays out first. The 1.7 economy is going to change dramatically after the migration. I've been playing 1.8 at home. I think everyone will agree, you starve to death very quickly. Food is going to be a major driver of the 1.8 economy. Honestly, I see the bakery overtaking the block store in order of importance. I can promise you that, when the server's back, I'll be opening a food store. So, I agree that food is going to be more valuable than diamonds. However, I think we should see how the introduction of all the new items, and the new demand for food, effect game play before making any sweeping decisions. That's my 2 cents. :D

 

While playing 1.8, I've noticed it takes hours for my hunger to go down unless I am sprinting around like a mad cow. o.o One cooked food heals a lot in the hunger bar, so I don't think it will be as bad as people make it out to be... Even though the long-lasting hunger is supposedly a bug, when it is fixed, I don't think it will be too bad. :/ You don't need to sprint much while building or mining, which is what people mostly do... I honestly don't know how people run out so fast. xD

You also can't die with our difficulty, so it feels like people are freaking out more over the hunger bar. D:

Hunger is a necessary for this statemen to remain true. Also with all the time placed in pricing food, I doubt he would bother to have all that work gone because of a No -Hunger plugin.

Fyi. No Hunger plugin is similar to Semi-Godmode. You heal hearts if you're Full.
