I had an idea today. So, we all know it, the first hunger games had about a bazzilion problems. There was a lot of pressure on mr. Public to s things he could not... within the bounds of ECC. So this is my idea. Given that andrew posts saying he will not ban me for advertising, i will set up my own server, ONLY for ECC users, so not really advertising, that will make the games much more successful due to the fact that i can install plugins for it. I have not set upthe server yet, so andrew please dont ban lol. Again. For ECC users ONLY.

My current idea is to have it also cost money in ECC for whitelist. As in, lets say 1k to play, 20k prize, 500 to spectate/ gain the ability to sponsor, things like that so it also helps people in ECC... if they wn :p

If you have any comments/questions/ plugins i sould look into, feel free to tell me. This is currently only the idea of an idea, so fire away :D

need an invisibility plugin and a max flying height plugin if spectators are to be allowed

currently, these are my ideas on sponsorship. 24 tributes plus myself and 5 of my 'team members' will be on server unless i can find spectator plugins, and i will (most likely) stream my screen. 5 more 'team members' will be in ECC in a teamchat with us in the hunger server. all sponsorships will process through them. to become a sponsor will cost money. the people in my team and sponsors on ECC will be in a "town chat" in order to make sponsorships easier. a max number of sponsors per team member will be processed per minute, so lets say each team member will only process one or two a minute. no sponsorships will be accepted for the first two minutes of game to prevent spending on a dead tribute. to get a 'town chat' for this costs eco dollars. if you would like to donate to this, feel free, all money going directly towards it. ​

I need $30,000 for the channel. or, if andrew wants to set up a "hunger games" channel for free because you (andrew) feel like it, that would be awesome, lol.

I need some opinions regarding the amount of RAM i will need to host 30 people lag-free, i have 8gb currently. if this is ( nowhere near ) enough or something, please tell me easy/cheap ways to either increase ram or rent a server. i will also be needing people to test everything with me before hand. or hey, if someone has a crazy ridiculous amazing computer and wants to host, tell me about it.

for now i am going to charge an entrance fee for the trouble this is going to cause me :p if i get enough guaranteed sponsors i may reduce/eliminate the fee for tributes.

The entry fee is really to prevent a few things. First of all, non preventative, its a way for me to make 4k for the work i put in, minimum. Second, i want this to be for ECC users only, so this prevents people joining ecc for a day just to get into the games. It also gives people an incentive to play and not just give up. I might lower it, 1k is just an example, and what i will also do is add to the prize money a certain percent of all sponsorships. Remember, it is your choice to play. Look at the people who payed 10k to spleef.

 

Zwunder, feel free to worldedit a map and upload somehow. Here are main parameters i am looking for: mostly, if not all, natural landscape, the original spawn must be in a forest biome, but remove a circular area of trees for start and cornucopia, maybe a diameter of 50 blocks. In a (insert number here. Maximum of 500minimum of 200) and make circular or square area with bedrock for the walls from 0 to 100 on y axis. Preferably circular.

It will only really be removing about 30 people, and only for the duration of the games... idk. We'll have to wait for andrew's opinion on whether or not he will allow it.

One thing i will gaurentee is that it will be whitelisted, and shutdown during non-games time.

 

Yeah, i might get a towns plugin to make glass walls... and texture pack is client side, whoever suggested that. Too lazy to go back up and see :p

 

Really?? Lol, yes, ill have a roof put in as well.now that wouldnt be any fun at all. In my case, i was in the games too, my area of central cali near fresno had a blackout, and i logged back in after it was done, and heard the terrible tales. I was doing good too. :p

 

Awesome sauce! Your choice, i could do it one my stepfather stops being a and lets me back on, but next thing required is remove trees, make 24 starting platforms, and, you guessed it, wait. >.<
