When you are just starting out on the server you aviously need money since its pretty much what that server is about so: step 1: Go to any market step 2: find some melon or pumpkins seeds (buy has many has possible) step 3: find some quiet place to farm in the wilderness (underground since less chance of being found) step 4: grow your seeds and sell them to make some $$ money $$ step 5: once you have enough money, buy a plot and farm your melon's or pumpkins in total safety!!!!!! thanks for reading

yea, you'd be better off renting a big farm for an hour then if you wanted a plot buying one, rather than starting your own farm in wild, it would take too long...
Or you could so what i did become a realtor then become a president within three weeks of starting on the server
A Better way to make money, 1) /kit starter 2) Use wooden pick to get cobble 3) Use cobble to make stone pick 4) Find iron 5) Make Iron pick 6) Go mining, and sell all the redstone/lapis you find, also sell all the cobble and what not. Mining can make you a ton of money... I do it to make lots of $$$ So trust me it works :]

Time is money. The faster you can make an item, the better it to sell if you have the time to produce it in bulk. This is especially true of cocoa beans, since they grow extremely fast and are easy to produce in massive quantitys. Try getting 5 stacks of jungle logs, and build 5 block high jungle log towers in 8 rows and 8 columns. Space them 5 blocks apart so theres 1 block between each cocoa bean for you to walk through. (The towers will be 5 blocks away, but the cocoa beans will be 3 blocks away). You will get a net max output of 40 cocoa beans per tower (You actually get 60, but you have to plant 20 back), and since you will have 64 towers, that's a net max output of 40 stacks of cocoa beans per full harvest (Assuming every single cocoa pod is fully grown and has been harvested and replanted). Even if you price them cheap like 1.25 per cocoa bean, that's still 3200$ worth of cocoa beans left over from when you replant them. It should only take 10-15 minutes for all the cocoa beans to fully grow, so you can get $12800/hr (If the cocoa beans take 15 minutes to grow) to $19200/hr (If they take 10 minutes to grow).
If you have the workforce to chop down 50 stacks of jungle logs, gather a few double chests full of cobble, and build 10 of those farms, do it. It multiplies your money rate by ten, because you get 10 times the cocoa beans with 10 of those cocoa bean farms, giving you $128000/hr to $192000/hr.
