i would like to become a mod once i have player for 3 months or something like that, but i don't i would have the time once i go back to school. i usually come back hoe at 5, then have an 1/1.5 of homework(plus now revision for my upcoming 11 end-of-year tests) which would make the 3-4 hours unrealistic, unless that's only referring to weekends
Congratulations on having this thread open for one year Pbrassat! It certainly helped me make my decision on whether I should apply for staff.
Revan, do you mind if I ask, how long have you been staff? I don't think I remember a time where you WEREN'T red. Once my situation at home improves drastically, and I achieve president, I think I'll apply for staff, I've wanted to do it for a long time ever since I became a resident.
I've been staff since February 21st 2013. So about a year and 3 months. I've been red since March 2013.
Quick question. If you have been banned only once does andrew still let you be staff? I dont want to be staff I am just wondering.
I believe a perma banned user was once staff. So if you changed alot then of course you could be staff.
I strongly agree with this post. I can only say thanks to the poster for this tuto, however i think that revanrose6's comment is one of the main requirements. In fact being part of the staff is something hard, you should ask yourself if you really enjoy giving "all" your time in-game to other users because you must enjoy helping, solving problems, being interrupted to inform, etc. If you have this plus knowledge of the rules plus enough free time and some interpersonal skills such as patience you'll be able to be a great moderator. I done a bunch of nice things for people and all of this stuff had value like someone had a unlocked chest with Nstars I could have tooken them but I told the owner. And that eff7 story all of you know about that one. And telling someone that their town was being grifed. And yet people say I am not nice? Look at all the hard work I did. I even gave people low amounts of money for nothing. Oh and some time free tps look at all the hard work I put into the server. I am not crying about this. I put My mom& my self first I even have ECC second because thats how much I love this server. I even put it before the best sport in the world PRO WRESTlING Its the 3rd thing in my life that matters. I wish we had more people that liked watching it. This is my life story. So yeah I don't care about having power or fame as mod. I just want to help people and defend others when needed. Ecc is my video gaming home. But our bully pop. is dropping that is the sign that this server will change in to a more healthy and rich server. Hilv, I think this is getting off topic. This thread was designed to be a tutorial on how to know if you are right for staff and has been such for the past year. There is no need to defend yourself here as it is a place for players to simply read and occasionally staff to toss in their opinion of what it means to be ready for staff.
Umm, that's not true. There are great mods under 17. Being a good moderator is not question of ages (Well maybe not common 12-year-old that are always arguing xD) Gretings!
not true age is not factored when voting but how you act ingame many staff are under 17 or joined under 17. same with ex staff
