Glackmore, and that is understood, this is more of a post to tell yourself, are you right for the job.
Seeing as staff applications are once again open, bump! Please remember this isnt a tutorial saying if you do this you get staff, its more a tutorial saying if your unsure about wanting staff/if you can get it read through the requirements, and things in this thread.
Just something to think about, if you have to ask yourself if you are ready or not, you probably aren't.
Things I would add to this thread: Say you think you are ready to become a staff member on ECC, you know all the rules, believe yourself capable of handling any situation, and have plenty of time to play so you can be more than active enough to meet server requirements. Once you reach this place, ask yourself, do you want to be a staff member? As staff, you will generally need to acquire the skill to talk to up to 5 people at once and resolve their problems as efficiently and helpfully as possible. At least half of your time will need to be devoted to solving these kinds of problems, banning advertisers, handling complaints, helping builders... well, I did, don't think that last one is required but just make sure that like myself and all of the current staff you enjoy using your time to help people and better the server. Am I in a situation in my household where I either A: have headphones or B: my parents/siblings won't mind if I am playing for extended amount of time listening to people talk through ventrilo, as one of your jobs as a moderator will be to moderate the vent channels, not just the game.
I would moderate ventrilo if I didn't sound so stupid and if I wasn't so young. I have headphones but my voice... eh.

So ladies and gentlemen, you can now see why Mr Pbrasset is a moderator. He's dedicated not only to helping the server but also making sure the next... generation of mods are just as capable as those that we have now and those that we have sadly lost due to the progression of lives.
I hate this for one reason, and one reason only... The italics hurt my eyes and make me feel like I'm having a seizure. Too much black and white flashing! X_X
