I agree. I have started on so many servers it's not funny. I love the beginning levels a lot, of discovering places and running caves, finding my first iron, building my first basecamp, etc.

Minecraft as a game, lacks depth, even with all the mods and server stuff people added (Eco's economy, Buxville's role system, etc.).

It's like playing WoW to 80, then restarting before raid grinding :)

    I understand what you mean.

Perhaps it's the thrill of having to do something before the first night.

You only build your base once, but you going mining dozens of times.

Perhaps that's why I've never really gotten anywhere in minecraft.
Only gotten as far as a set of diamond tools.
No end, no diamond armor pieces, nothing enchanted. After diamond tools i get bored...eventually i start a new world :p

WoW us level 90 now, where have you been?! You missed the last two expansions!

I always enjoy building and trading. I started out with pumpkins and exp when I joined the server. And then I jumped into the diamond market and started profiting fast. I've always lived trading. There still is a lot of money in it, you just have to learn the market and be patient. Too many people use /sell hand , you can offer to buy their ores for slightly higher than server and sell them. Or make items to sell and profit. It all depends on the situation and what's selling at the moment.

Also, rich doesn't mean loaded with money. Rich is having freedom to do what you want. I feel I have experienced everything ECC can offer me. I don't enjoy PVP on MC, so that limits me some. And I have had, or do have everything I ever wanted. But the playability is still there. The economy still exists. And the biggest, and best reason to play... The community.

    Build. Sell. Repeat.
