Regarding all the ideas regarding PvP, they wouldn't be fair at all due to Minecraft PvP being influenced so heavily by ping. EG if you play from Australia like me you'll be hitting someone, seeing the crit particles over and over again, but you won't hit them, suddenly you lag out and die. With something like this it should be made fair for everyone.

Yes, I was about to come and mention this, **Luck Rampage** was awesome.

 

I'd rather see it done like the old voting raffles (every vote for the server = 1 entry). This way people with awful luck still have a slim change, and it also rewards people who vote more (probably).

That idea is basically when you vote, you have a certain percentage chance of getting a form of lucky, and that gets you into the draw. You could vote a billion times and never get it (statistically unlikely but still possible - look at the luckrampage draws [well, you can't but take my word for it], certain players would get 2 or 3 entries very rarely, while many others just wouldn't get that form of lucky at all).
My idea is simple, 1 vote is 1 entry. If you vote more, you have more chances, but everyone gets a chance.

 

Oh, I'm sorry, I guess I didn't proofread what you said. I actually like that a lot better. I also like the fact that a user who plays EcoCityCraft for one day and votes for it once can still win, as they'd be very likely to keep playing should they do so.

 

IMO, all end-of-month voting rewards should be done this way, not the medals though.

People often can't vote every day, and think of it as a waste of time since they can't get the coupons. Also, towards the end of the month when people realize they don't have a chance, they stop voting.

If we switched all voting to what you suggested, there would always be more incentive to vote.

 

Video game build competition!!! Since he IS giving away a video game system, if we do a build I'd like this.

I'd rather have some type of raffle though

EDIT: To clarify, a "Video game build competition" means an ECC build competition with the theme of video games. NOT creating them yourselves, as that would probably take too much time and probably be expensive

 

The majority probably has no idea how to use Java and code. Or have art skills. Or have good testers. Video game building is a definite no-no.

Voting raffle very similar to the voting raffle of 2014?/2013? I thought it was the coolest idea when I first joined. Basically when you vote for the server (something any player can do, but can only do 3 times a day) you have a certain percentage of winning a raffle ticket, much like winning a pig egg, to which is a whole separate raffle for the select few players. It's effective to the servers reputation and every player has equal odds
