$1155, 20$ came from my pocket still fun to see who has donated what I suggest organizing then from the most donated to the least
$935 according to /mydonations I bought my pet cat on my birthday last year as a present to myself. Everything else has been bought with ECD or gifted.
There's also all the sponsorship of plugins (Essentials), etc. I think people on this thread will think you're a money hungry server owner with a nicely half-paid off mortgage. Donations won't be stopping anytime soon and with a savings account as you said, that's very promising for the future of ECC
Yeah forgot to even include that lol, there's also our sponsorship for Spigot as well which is a couple thousand / yearly Then again the general image of a small percentage of people here is of me living in some sort of chocolate built house sleeping on a bed made of marshmallows and a pillow filled with golden flakes. With that said I need to go replace my bedroom walls, I ate half of them this morning. o.o
/myfeatures --> $540 And I'm very proud to say that all the features I've ever bought so far have been attained with in-game money, coupon prizes and such. That is: all in-game work and effort
When you donate to something you'd like to know what your donation is going towards, the response "maintaining the server" isn't really as in depth as some people would like. I've donated like $1545, pretty average.
We've long dropped the donation name and call it support as well as purchases. The money is used for maintaining the server is the response we give and will give. I have no obligation to lay out exact detailed financial plans for the public to see, in fact some of them I'd say are trade secrets regarding advertising and where we advertise. If this is not suitable for you I suggest not purchasing things on ECC. If you were donating for nothing whatsoever in return that would be a different story. We all know minecraft is long past using the term donations. It's quite obvious they are purchases and server support as they are on 99% of servers. PS: I believe the only place we still use "donations" is in the /mydonations command which is simply an alias for /myfeatures for those who are used to the old ancient "donation" term.
Hey, I was just stating why some people are interested in knowing how much the server makes. I for one don't care too much, as long as it stays up and running that should suffice
Doesn't matter to me what Andrew does with the funds, as long as they keep this server moving ahead and keep the doors open im happy. I would hope that he makes a little extra cash for him self at the same time or else whats the point in dealing with something as time consuming as owning and running a good size server.
