Sure. If you are buying a top floor shop, I strongly recommend trying for one of the 8 closest to the portal though. I believe these 8 get a lot more traffic than any other shops. I think the numbers are 17, 18, 21 and 22 on the red side if you are wondering exactly which ones I'm talking about. The blue ones are the mirror image of those.

 

Perhaps when I have achieved more of my financial goals. I'm about to open a new shop and am not eager to create a bunch of clones. However, much can be learned from looking at my shop (and usernameofdeath's, random2580's, delucaco's, sinder33's to name a few).

When I had a top floor shop, I bought the cheap blocks from the server store and marked them up for sale as stacks. expensive blocks i looked for deals in the market, or i set up a sign to buy them from users, or i farmed them myself. I bought xp and nstars from customers and re-sold them to other customers.
