    Hello!
Just a quick question. I just got 16 golden apples from a storage war and I am now asking for a price check for these. Does anyone wanna buy and how much are they worth?

Golden Apples are one of the things nerfed by andrew in the 1.6 update. I'm not sure the current cost for user-to-user transactions, but it will be interesting to see. Is there still a market for these items?

Glistering Melons were the other thing nerfed by andrew. They were nerfed because there was a recipe change, making them more expensive to make. People made thousands hoping to cash after the update. Andrew did not think this was a good idea and felt it would damage the economy.

It is going to be interesting to see the prices you get, if any.

I'd say that they're pretty much worthless. Everybody made tons thinking it'd be instant x9 money.... I guess they were wrong xD

To 'make' them it would cost you that much. But as stated earlier, people made thousand of these things, when it only cost $10 to make, hoping to cash in. Since they are now worthless to the server and there are so many of these things just sitting there, no one is buying them. People are practically giving these things away. If you are paying more than $20 for a Golden Apple, you are overpaying (IMHO). Maybe in time they will climb up, but right now it is not a seller's market.

Again, why is it that a finished product is worth less than the ingredients/materials its made of? how is that economic?

Books took like 3/4ths of a year to gain value.

I was sitting thinking, "Why would ebooks have affected book prices?"(for over 2 minutes). Then I had the 'AHA!' moment. You are talking about when leather was added to the regular book recipe. I had never thought about that. That would have created the same mass production scenario ,if people where making tons of books before that recipe changed, yeah. I wasn't here for that, but that makes sense. Great point. Thanks for bringing that up. It actually clears up, for me at least, the nagging question why books/bookshelves were so cheap compared to leather costs which are part of the recipe.
