Ok so I got windows 8 pro on my laptop, I used to have windows 7, My laptop is a HP pavilion dv7 4020sa.
This has two interchangeable graphic cards, and ati 4200 and an ati 5470. my ati 4200 works fine but my ati 5470 says this This device cannot start. (Code 10)

The requested operation was unsuccessful.
Ive tries installing the latest catalysts and auto checked for updated drivers but it hasnt worked, Please help <3

It's likely in-compatable with windows 8 so you may want to wait until an update for the driver comes out for your version

Alright, thanks, by now you would of though all drivers would have been updated at first release :(
Anyways I agree windows 8 is horrible, it is designed for tablets not a pc, Im dreading it as my college is updating all computers to it. -
However i can say one thing is that windows 8 is more "stable" -

According to Notch, he said Windows 8 RUINED the PC, so he refuses to make it compatiable with Windows as a sign of rebellion. That way, you HAVE to downgrade or head over to the Mac OS. Sorry dude :/

closed, the college is working on these drivers along with amd as they are getting windows 8 <3
