im on the back burner cause i find more gold then i do diamonds and gold is very easy to find just need look in ravines caves and stuff as thats where it is most of times
You are basing this of personal experience, whilst my figures are taken from minecraft generation code meaning as long as ECC doesn't have a custom generation, gold is as rare as I say it is. Also finding more gold than diamonds is perfectly normal but times are over twice as much sell hand and diamonds are clearly not twice as rare as gold. Btw thanks everyone for the positive feedback, suggestion has been up a while... shame hasn't been implemented.

This is a sort of bump but more of a addition to the thread. Not only is Gold the worst money making when mining. Mining makes so much less money than many types of farming. Pros of mining Not need for massive farm just grab a pickaxe and go mine. More fun than farming for the majority of people on server. Cons of mining Dangerous! Can lose all your items in lava. Need to find a good cave to maximize money made. Must buy eff 5 unb 3 fortune 3 pickaxe to maximize money made. Requires much more concentration than farming. Now the figures... Pumpkin farming makes 16k an hour simply as that money made doesn't fluctuate. Mining however, makes between 8k-14k an hour dependent on luck and finding a good cave. I cannot fully record money made from mining but an average would be around 12k an hour 4k an hour less than farming. This is also using fly to fly through the caves without it you would make much less. If gold ingots aren't given an increase something in mining requires an increase so it can match up to farming. This is MINEcraft not farmville, although economy servers do require different ways of making money, farming should not make so much more than mining does. I hear people say mining is just for builders, so they can get enough to buy access/ or build a farm, but why should it be like that. Just because players have got used to the dominance of farming, I think it is about time mining gets a rise. The reason I choose gold ingots to be risen is clearly stated on the first post of this thread, although any increase in mining would be much appreciated.
yeah and mining world resets so there for its not as rare as you think it is if it was one world then yeah you could justify that argument but yo cant when mining world constantly resets there is still many parts or the main world untouched plenty of gold out there but ill say yes just so i can make a heap more money when its raised
You completely took me out of context in order to make me look bad which is pretty much trolling. doesn't matter if mining world resets, it doesn't matter how many exist on the entire server. The money made on ores is judged on how much you will mine in a period of time. If you actually read the first post in the thread you will understand what I mean please don't post without realizing what you are talking about.
have a cry mate i said i agree cause i would stand to make AOT OF MONEY from the raise far out your a sensitive fellow if things are looking at downing you at all and for a fact i did read first post all your doing is saying gold is rare less then iron per chunk yet worth less, i was just stating its not as rare as you seem to think well as far as i have noticed when i mine i find a decent amount and horde as much as i can to make me blocks. if your gonna bash me and say im trying to make you look bad go sit in corner and relax cause im not trying to im just giving you my opinion from what i see not what i read on wiki and or any other place i still agree to raising it but i also still think its not as rare as your making it out to be so lets kiss and make up hey
+1 i hav almost as much gold as i do diamond and gold has many uses only raising its value, please andrew or other mod, take a look at this because gold is almost equally rare as diamond.
I agree, mining is somewhat difficult and requires some good tools to do. However, gold is one of the most sought after items in the game after nstars, it's player price is in the range of 12-15 already so I am neutral on this.
Player price is not being discussed you can pay what you want for gold ingots. This is only about server price because that is how money earned is judged. The price change should not be affected by user to user market. The current market rise is caused by a few people buying for $12 per ingot. If people started buying iron for more than /sell hand that would increase on the player market as well. Player market is not a good thing to judge server prices off.
