    Soon I will be buying the gold account he he he. I wish I could get a $5 giftcard since I do not want to donate $5 extra.

    I seem to be more frequent on the forums now. My question is should I get the gold animation or not.

    I wouldn't get the shiny. It can get confusing as to your rank when you also set a custom title (especially for moderators [stop minimoding, MoofinK], but you aren't one). I also find it annoying. Plus, my name would no longer match my icon... but again, not a problem for you.

    Just so you know, since it sounds like you want to use giftcard credits, you cant use giftcards for forum gold.
