The judge didn't actually say that Brady never cheated, he just thinks the NFL needs a guideline and that it shouldn't be equal to a steroid suspension, thats why the suspension was lifted, not because brady was innocent which we all know he is not.
@Jrg5978 That's what I think people aren't understanding. I could care less if Brady cheated or not, he is not the only player on our team. The fact is they don't have the proof and that's that.
Team should be penalised, Not just brady, they were found to be cheating, even though they would have still won the game without cheating. They should be made to pay. Afterall, what really happened to them? Not a lot
@Mission001 that is one common mistake people make, they paid $1 million, yes this is low but compared to what the Saints paid for Bountygate it is high. Also the Pats lost several draft picks in which they could have used this offseason to trade
I would say lower round draft picks, 1 Million is cheap for essentially a bye into the superbowl... I would say the superbowl revenue would cover that tbh... I bet some of the players and the coach? Might have a bonus of a mill for winning the superbowl?
They do have proof and he destroyed evidence to try to hide that. The reason the judge took away the suspension is because he believed the punishment was too much. He's still a cheater though
@Jrg5978 funny thing is the nfl lied, Brady destroyed after he met with investigators, also your phone records are in some system somewhere forever so if they really wanted to prove he was guilty they would contact his service provider
Bountygate resulted in the loss of a coach and multiple players to season suspensions, and some players/coachers to shorter sentences. Plus, you add fines in there, and the Saints were penalized pretty darn hard, way more than the Patriots were punished for Spygate (the NYJ plays thing) and "Deflategate".
Patriots aren't the only team to participate in spygate. And all the teams that have were not punished nor was it a big ordeal. Also the Patriots fired both equipment managers in charge of the balls which is why the NFL has nothing to penalize for. no coaches are linked to those managers.
patriots or cheatriots? This isnt the first time they have cheated to gain an advantage they really should be punished in some way.
