There were also other owned items (max prot 4) on me at the time of death as well as a player skull. If @ClarinetPhoenix @Imaginex need IDs for them in order to investigate I can probably provide the id for the max boots I had at the time as well.
I honestly don't get how you would've magically logged back in without doing it yourelf unless you were using a hacked client that auto Relogs. I don't see why he should get his eff7 back @JamieSinn . I just don't see a way for u to have magically logged in and died. Honestly your fuck up not the servers on this one.
First off, don't hackusate me on my own thread. Second, I can still lose connection to the server and it will register as a DC and reconnect if the wifi connects again. I didn't just afk and autoreconnect like ur saying... if that was the case i wouldnt be the first to lose an eff 7 over this. The bottom line is that i died while in /fly, that shouldn't happen or ecc should at least inform people about how /fly auto shuts off.
Right, I did some serious investigation into this incident to determine if it was truly server error or not. Your death location is right beside a wall in your town indicating its possible you were shoved off, your death occurred 39 seconds before you actually disconnected. If you had closed your screen on accident and that having been the cause of fly to disable and for you to drown unknowingly, the disconnect should of shown prior to your death, it does not. Your last command activity before your death was 46 seconds prior. Without a water-breathing helmet you can drown in less than 40 seconds, 27 seconds actually(tested). You rejoined the server 7 minutes and 12 seconds later after the disconnect. That seems like a clear indication that you were actually AFK at the time, its pretty contradictory to your story. In this case, had you been attentive to your client you would of noticed you were drowning and/or avoided the possible consequences of being AFK. The loss of these items is not a fault of the servers, but a fault of your own. Sorry.
So lets take case 1 where I was not flying and i was on a wall. Not only is it extremely Illegal for someone to push me off, but losing a 1.2m tool because someone decided to break the rules is kinda not fair imo. Case 2, i was flying. How is it even possible I died in this case? I know specifically that i couldnt have turned off fly and drowned. Using the time data you have given, i have determined that there is about 1 min and 19 seconds from time of afk to disconnection. If I shut my screen, the macbook model that i own will disconnect me from wifi almost immediately. Therefore, this doesnt make any sense because i should have been disconnected much much sooner than i actually was. The server could still be at fault because it registered me as an online player while I was actually afk and the wifi was switching around. In the end, there isnt a single plausible explanation for how i died while afk. The only two options are that a player illegally killed me in rising, or server client connection bugs. EDIT: It has occured to me that if someone AFKs anywhere BESIDES the end for any reason, they shouldn't be dead. In general AFKing is safe to do as long as you aren't literally afking in lava or water. No matter where you afk, you shouldn't be dead unless another player interferes or a glitch happens.
It isnt illigal to push people anymore. Its your responsibility to not go afk in a place where you can die...
As I was reading this help/support ticket just now I was going to ping the ServerAdmins to refund you for your losses. However after seeing the following reply from Clarinetphoenix I will stand by and trust her investigation and decision. If you feel it is incorrect please contact her personally. Everyone else in the thread who has turned it into bashing, and useless garbage has been warned via the forum. Regarding the actual bug, I will discuss it with @JamieSinn
We've changed this now to always re-enable fly upon login if you previously had it enabled. It no longer checks whether or not the block below you was considered a safe block. (Will be live after tonight's restart)
