*facepalm* Ah no. Gifs aren't usually very large. I was thinking they could really look pretty spammy. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

 

Nah, gifs don't animate unless you go to their profiles. Gifs take up a lot more space than an equally sized jpeg though, given they don't have only a few frames.

The weird thing is, I saw this user a few days ago... and until yesterday, it was only animated on the profile. Now it is animated on normal threads... o_O
