I guess I wouldn't mind this. I used to play forum games. Then I kinda just stopped. It wouldn't really matter to me because I really don't care for how much I post/spam and how high it is. If there was a reputation system and this affected it I would be shocked but your right it is turning into spam. :/

Post count is not important, there is no reward for having more post than others, or whatever. If forum games no longer counted to post count, you could never know the EXACT AMOUNT OF POSTS someone has. Post count is meant to show HOW MANY TIMES SOMEONE HAS POSTED A MESSAGE ON THE FORUMS, whether an application, a complaint/appeal, or in forum games. What would be the point of doing this? There would be none. I honestly think it would be just a waste of time to change this. This would be pointless to change. It should be just left alone. If forum games posts no longer counted, it would make more sense to just remove post count overall. Post count would be no longer accurate or mean anything.

 

Spamming and making the majority of your post count spam hardly counts as... an accurate post count... Spam is hardly considered a "post" or anything valuable, so for several people it is a way to lie about your true post count.

I believe I made a suggestion to remove post counting in Forum Games, and that was around when Andrew denied it for an unknown reason. And if that reason, whatever it may be, is still intact, then I say just do a monthly sweep of the Forum Games and delete threads that are clearly spam or are over ~250 posts, of just a few people posting. Something along those lines, at least.

Personally, forum games in my eyes is just spam. And as with Jets reason.. There is no fun anymore. I mean, seriously - how can you even /have/ fun with a forum /game/ when everyone is going "OMFG OMGOM GOM GOMGOMFOMFOMOM GOMGOMFOMG MUST POST BEFORE EVERYONE ELLLLLSE AND GET MY POST COUNT HIGHER OMFG I AM GONNA RUIN THE NEXT /REAL/ POST THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE FUN because everyone knows this is for post count." -coughs-
