Instead of removing them, how about you lock them and add a new rule to not make anymore so that users who have posted get to keep their posts? This would keep the forum spammers (such as myself) from rioting, and keep the people who are just against it happy as well.
I did a search on all your posts in that sub forum. I found 10 pages, each with 20 posts since September 17th. That's 200 posts in the past 10 days. When I see someone has a high post count it usually means they are very active and are contributing a lot to that community. Just look at the notable members page. Almost everyone on there has had a big impact on the server. All you have done is post numbers.
I get the majority of posts from forum games, yes. However you will find me posting on all active sub-forums. I have contributed heavily towards the recent events, and always weigh in my opinion on suggestions. For the users or for the thread themselves?
I dont see what would be wrong in disabling post count in there. That way you guys can still play the games but you will avoid the members who are just in there for forum post count boost and trophy point boosters.
You make it sound like we're bad people. We do nothing wrong, and we have no negative effect on the forums. Remember that forum points, messages and ratings are useless and have no value. If anything we boost forum statistics to make it seem like the forums is super-active.
Pretending a forum is active is ludicrous. Thats almost like pretending a plane can't fly for the attention.
So what would be wrong with removing the posts in the forum games section from your total count? Posts with actual content should go towards the total count. Not posts with 1-3 digit numbers. If we wanted to make the forum seem active that way then we could just generate posts by a bot in an invisible sub forum. You just seem to be worried about your post count being cut by a massive amount.
Im sorry if i made out that you were bad people, its not my intention at all, All i am saying is will people post as much in those section if there was no gain in it and then only thing would be to have fun, i think there wouldnt be as many people posting in them. But i never said you were in a group of 'bad people'.
The only people defending the forum are the people who have 1000's of posts xD +1 I hate that forum, even if I have done x amount of posts in it.
Good, we have people that are actively foruming within the community. I don't see why that's bad. Please explain to me why that's bad, with reasonable points, and I maybe will change my view.
It's not bad, but I don't think people that work for forum messages should be head to head with people who only know how to count to five.
I think the best way to stop these are to stop posting on them. I fine them annoying to be honest as well. However i dont see a good enough reason to ban them yet. But i agree a major problem with these are post boosting but couldn't they post boost in other ways?
