I believe that there is also a problem with quotes. I found a thread that had a user quoting something I said on another thread which leads me to believe it has something to do with copy-paste.
@sick24 Do you receive it now? Just testing to see if it works when I quote you. This is what I'm assuming from what dumdum71 stated.
Got an alert for being quoted, not for the tag. Just for reference, ever since I said "I will unwatch this thread" I have unwatched it every time I reply, so I am no longer receiving alerts for replies which is how it should be working d:
So we have pinpointed the problem, if the user that is being quoted is tagged in the same message, they will not receive an alert for being tagged.
It appears that way. Meaning the system is working as intended and it's not a bug. @sick24 unless you can figure out if/how you can get tagged without being notified at all (no alerts for quotes, posts either) and without the tags being copy pasted, I'll shrug it off as intended behaviour.
The only issue we found is that if a thread is edited to add the tag it does not work. Is there any issue that you have seen besides that?
If you're asking me… no I haven't really seen nor tested any other issue. But your situation would make sense. If I tag user1 as [ user=1 ]user1 [ /user ] then go back and edit with @user2, I would think that the [ user=1 ] would still stay there.. but I don't know for sure.
I just received this error here http://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/builder-homes.93090/page-3#post-468506 I was tagged- no edits however only received an alert for a response to the thread.
