    I would like to suggest removing fly in the PvP arena.
    I think flying should be disabled in pvp area because if u go in there and you have armor and you decide your done pvping you start towards the exit and someone from the other side of the arena flys over and kills u without taking a single hit.
    Thats not really fair is it? Someone that has the fly ability can kill people and claim their stuff without taking a single hit in combat and they dont have to give it back, And if your fighting someone in diamond armor and your about to win they can fly into the safezone 10 times faster then u can run.

    ontopic.
    You can't disable fly in specific regions, only in different worlds.
    So a pvp arena beneath miningworld spawn works. (D0rc suggested this a while ago)

    i think that fly should be allowed as we have paid alot of good money for it and if it gets restricted to alot of areas then its almost pointless other then building easier

    Well, it sort of gives an unfiar advantage in pvp as people with fly can get out of a battle if they are about to die which as others without fly cannot.
    So there should be more areas where fly is allowed but not the pvp arena.

    Flying is meant to make building easier, it's not meant to be used in pvp.
    And it won't be restricted in a lot of areas, just pvp.

    I just came up with a great idea,
    If we make a Whole new arena in a new world,
    That can have flying disabled!
    And the old one can still have fly !!!
    Then people with fly can still pvp just not in the main arena.
    Have it so they have to do /warp to get there because only they have that power.

    That's what the Mining World is. A pvp world with no fly and if you would like to get to the mining world you need to become resident.

    welll.... im just going to go ahead and suggest you get resident. then pvp in mining world.
    ???
    PROFIT.

    not to mention that the devs would have to make a whole new plugin which detects flying within worldguard region and turns it off when detected in a pvp active area. it isnt an easy on/off

    That, and it's more lag. (A lot more, it has to use an even that is triggered EVERY time you move a block.)

    I think if you are flying you can't hit someone or pvp and after they fly they have to wait 30 sec
    For mine world and nether not spawn pvp
