The reason for using chests is to stop people from getting the tool who you didn't want to. Also, I think it is easier to have evidence of the repairer taking the tool and you not getting it back should the repairer run off with it.
Oh... Thanks for explaining it, but I won't need to worry about this. Seeing as I repair my own tools
I wouldn't mind having tombstone as well, so if I do die, it doesn't have the possibility to burn. And i get a free chest
I don't understand the reasoning for needing pyro+ and also why get /back when you can get multihomes? For the pyro issue, why not just wear armor and be ready to type /spawn? There's a good 5-8 seconds to type it out if you were to fall in lava. The potential value of eff7 seems higher than msword. I think the most important feature he should be looking into is EXT+ (100$)
1. Is that 5-8 seconds really worth risking 600k+? No, it's not. Also, swimming through lava allows for a higher profit. 2. Let's say you all of a sudden die, you obviously won't no you are going to die, and won't have time to set a home. That being said, you could just do /back and retrieve your items instead of losing tall that value 3. The value of an eff 7 and MSword will always be the same, simply because this is an economy server. There is always demand for these tools, and the price to buy them is always the same.
1) From what I've seen there are known bugs that, though very small, there is a chance that pyro+ will stop working and you can die in lava. So either way lava will be an issue. I'm not saying don't be careful. If you're digging in a controlled rate and don't move carelessly forward continuously you can avoid lava. It's also not a risk to rely on typing /spawn within that time limit. If you're actually that afraid, you can practice typing exercises to bring your wpm to something like 100+. 2) In the case of death, as long as you have f3 open or some other mod to show your position, you can retrieve your items easily. I don't know if it's worth the 15$ or 90k to get it. I have also been told you can actually set your home when you die but have not tested this out (since I haven't died yet). 3) I didn't dispute the value of the items. I disputed their potential income they provide, where an eff7 is higher than a melon sword. Basically what I'm trying to get at is why would you gimp yourself for reasons like not being having certain donation features. I don't believe this server is made so that way you can't get around without donation features, they just make it easier to play. You should note that this user isn't someone who has donated hundereds of dollars into the server and has this very high level item. If we were to discuss that the msword is a safer choice then it would be better to say that fishing would be a safer choice because he wouldn't have to go through an item transaction. Item transactions have a chance of failing if one party gives their money/item and the other party does not follow through. They could be banned but the other player won't have their item/money too. There is always some risk involved and the risk of an eff7 is really minor when thinking about potential gain.
Another reason for using a chest is that if you are very unlucky and the auto butcher occurs when the tool is on the ground it will disappear.
