1, Get rid of all the potion brewing junk in chests. It's literally useless. You don't have reasonable time to brew anything in almost every game. All it does is clutter up chests with needless junk.2, Get rid of the cobblestone in chests. What is even the point? Stone swords are already common enough.3, Increase no-kit SG chances to 50% by default. I'm not going to re-iterate why kits are bad, a quick search in this suggestions section should tell you plenty. 50% no-kit means more no-kit sg means more people playing. Simple stuff. OR Dedicate 1-2 arenas to no-kit games. I'd prefer this over the no-kit chance. SG is dead. And only this way can you make people play again. (I'd personally play again if you make arena 1 and/or 4 kit-free) OR Introduce a booster to increase no-kit chance to 90% for 2 hours. I'd still prefer no-kit arenas over this. SG is urgently in need of improvements. SG is dead. And with the EULA and kits having become an in-game feature there are plenty of reasons to start messing with them. Now is the best time to make improvements to SG. Now that kits can no longer be bought with irl money, and before you introduce a new game. Because when you introduce a new game more people will play. And some of them might try SG. And you want SG to be quality gameplay as well. Not the kit shitfest it is now. It's sad that I can look at the SG board and see absolutely nobody playing.
+00... oh wait, +1. rip. I think it's time that we actually do something about SG and use it as a tool to gain players rather than just declare it dead, and let the only minigame on THIS ENTIRE SERVER rot.
+1 to #1 and #3. I personally like cobblestone being in chests when I somehow don't find a sword and need to whip one up quick.
-1 to #1. Brewing potions is the one thing that allows normal players to compete without players. I use it whenever I play sg. It's really easy to get a couple of pots if you know what you are doing. +1 to number 2 and 3.
Brewing potions also decrease the chances for other items to be in chests. If there was no potion junk then you could get more tnt, flint and steel, and most importantly, more armour and weapons. and if #3 were adopted then the playing field would be evened out anyway.
Yes. Whatever gives new players a decent chance to make money in SG. I am sad to say that every single way a new player can make money is either boring or yields almost no money. To many new players, the time is better spent playing another game. This is, sadly, the reason our player count is so low and consists mostly of rich players. Note: I fully respect this server and do not intend to insult it or make it look bad. All it needs are a few changes to make it less, well, boring for new players. And the way to do that is to revive SG, our only minigame which is unfortunately dead due to OP kits. Kuke has the right idea here. +99999
+1 to that booster and +1 tot he cobblestone only way I'd like seeing them remove stone is if they increased iron/diamonds for non-kitters. I use brewing stuff all the time in no kit matches where everyone runs, and 3minute strength pots are da bawmb.
Precicely why I suggested things that can be done without any custom coding. (aside from the booster, but from my understanding the framework for that booster was already laid down, so it should be trivial anyway.)
