Brief Description: In farming wheat, excess drops not immediately taken into
one's inventory are immediately destroyed or otherwise disappear.
Instructions: Farm wheat two rows at a time, going parallel to the blocks
being broken.
How many times did you recreate this bug?: Repeatedly, but inconsistently,
requiring that it be tested on more than two rows.
Result: Any wheat or seeds outside your range to be picked up immediately
will be grouped incorrectly and disappear, leaving only a small percentage behind.
Expected Result: The desired result being that all wheat and seeds should drop
on the floor, to be collected thereafter.
Evidence: On a row of 64 in a wheat field, assuming anywhere from two to four wheat
can drop per wheat tile, there should be two to four stacks of wheat
being acquired per row, but am getting less than ten wheat total. On a 64x64 wheat farm,
I should make over five thousand a floor, but the value of the actually received product
is negligible.

I am having same issue. i farmed 8 rows of my farm roughly 180 blocks in length each. i didnt get enough seeds back to replant two of the rows. the wheat i picked up was less than 3 stacks. Also i farmed running straight into the wheat not sidways. So it's not the farming method that is wrong.

Well crap, I guess the method doesn't matter. I was getting more of the drops going straight into it, but on further testing that seems hit or miss too.-

I locked all other threads regarding this bug, this one seems the one with the most information regarding the bug.
This is highly likely a craftbukkit bug, and should be fixed fairly soon, until that time just don't farm wheat, also try to figure out if this happens with any other crop as well.-

Alright, upon further investigation it doesn't seem to matter the type of crop, and many other blocks are exhibiting the same behavior when using super breaker skills, so it's an unspecific grouping problem that only occurs when large quantities of blocks need to be dropped to the ground. I think there are some other recent posts regarding excavating, tree felling and other mcmmo skills that sound very similar to the problems I'm hearing, they all might be in reference to the same cumulative error.

Same issue. While farming wheat my seed count goes down as seeds are gathered instead of up.

Perfect, the problem has been completely resolved, with respect to the farming at least. Thank you very much Andrew, and the same to your wonderful dev team for the quick turnaround on the bug fixes

Andrew- still is not fixed on mine. It might be dropping the seeds and letting me pick them back up now though. However, the number of seeds I have in my inventory still decreases as I'm farming.

Ryan, I can upload another video but if the seed count goes do by say 10 I can turn around and I might only have 4 wheat planted. If that was was the case wouldn't I have 10 wheat planted? Three days ago I harvest a level of my farm and did not have enough seeds to replant.
-
I have confirmation that this is a bug, I went farming for some wheat, upon finishing getting 50 wheat, I was missing 10 or so, and when I would get seeds, it would only give me one, sometimes not dropping any seeds
-
I understand that ....but if I start with 10 seeds then all 10 leave my inventory, and I turn around and only 1 wheat plant has been planted....what happened to the other 9 seeds?
-
ryan....your amout of seeds went down from 10 to 9, did it replant 1? If it's just a few lost seeds it's no big deal. But a large number is worrisome. I will retry when the server is back up and see if the # of missing seeds = the number of replanted wheat now.
