They were awarded virtually, meaning they appear in your /cc and not your inventory and per your screenshot you tried to open Egg Machine (the orange egg) - which requires the nstar token. Egg Crate (the green egg) is what you want to click/target when using Egg Keys. Anyway, I just tested this and Egg Keys are awarded just fine (and virtually).
