Many players have been recently asking us about whether we intend to update ECC to 1.14, and if so, when will we. And while we absolutely will 100% maintain connectivity for players with 1.14+ clients, the answer to whether ECC itself will be updating to 1.14 is unequivocally no.

This means that while players are by all means free to connect to ECC using their 1.14+ client, they will not be able to access/use 1.14+ blocks and mechanics on ECC. Those will continue to be 1.13.2 on Main/VMR and 1.12.2 on Skyblock.

This is unfortunately the case due to the fact that 1.14 is quite literally one of MC's worst updates in terms of performance and game bugs. Short of making the server absolutely unplayable, we unfortunately do not have much room to bring new 1.14-related MC features to ECC. It is still, however, possible that ECC will update once Mojang releases its 1.15 version. Mojang has stated that they are aware of issues related to the 1.14 update and will try to fix them. Only time will tell how successful they will be with that.
