That isn't the point I was trying to make both earlier on this thread and when I saw you in game this morning. What I told you in game was that you should set this up so that if the gift giver wishes to remain anonymous, that they can do that. Saying "I advise you to not use logblock on the chests", that's trusting the gift receiver not to look into who gave the gift, and not allowing the gift giver the right to remain anonymous. What I was trying to say was that it should be impossible for the gift receiver to find out who gave them the present, and that the only way for someone to find out who gave them the present would be for that person to admit it. I guess it is your Secret Santa and you can run it however you want, but if you allow the possibility of using logblock to find out who gave the gift, then it removes the "secret" aspect of it.

 

There is still the option of @KingCharlie9 owning the chest, adding the giver to that chest, then destroy the chests and redo them in a new random order.

 

Yeah or setup 2 sets of chests,1 set for the secret Santa to put their gifts in and then Charlie can transfer the gifts over to the other set. No way to tell that way and I trust Charlie to not take anything.

 

I would strongly recommend you use one of these ideas, I'm not sure that I want to participate if theres a chance of it not being anonymous.

 

I trust Charlie I just have vacation in 2 days and won't be back till Jan 1st so I want to give my gift earlier but who knows maybe I won't go on vacation it just depends

 

If the chests aren’t ready to put your gift in, you could always give your gift to Charlie and tell him who it’s suppose to go to and Charlie can put it in the chest for you.

 

I'm sorry for my ignorance, I might have read that the people we will give the gift to will be mailed in game? And when? If not please help.

Edit: is there a limit to how many gifts we can give? As in, would we be able to gift someone as many items as we want as long as it doesn't fill up more than a full chest?

Darn - I just saw this is closed! If possible, I'm still in. You should lock the thread if you're not taking more joiners though!

 

The reason the thread is still open is the area is still not announced yet.

 

What about a deadline to deposit the gifts that is more than 7 days before Christmas?
Can't logblock the chest if there are no longer any logs to read.

 

This is a great idea.

 

It was already planned and built where the giver chest and receiver chests are separate.

@KingCharlie9 what about if we could use a request application so we know what our secret santa receiver would like as a gift! I really don't know what to gift the person you gave me, I love the person you game me tho <3 Thanks!
