ECC Spooky building contest!

Hello to residents of EcoCityCraft.

We, the staff team, will be hosting a Spooky themed building competition this year in the town of Bedrock. This is, as you can guess, a building competition where you try to build something spooky or a Halloween themed structure to impress a panel of judges as chosen by the staff team. Permissions can be obtained by applying on this thread with the format as found at the end of this post and waiting for a mod to assign a plot to you.
You may also enter as teams, but if you are part of a team you may not have a second plot or be a part of another team. We will be giving out fabulous prizes to the top 10 entrants totaling at this stage to over $1 million but total prizes valued at much more. In order to get to the grounds at any time just pm a mod and ask politely if they can tp you to the event grounds or by going to the town portals and heading to the redstone row of the circle stone section then going through the RagLand portal and following the signs to the contest area.

Since we have had to add a second town to the contest you can get there by asking any staff member once again or heading to the redstone row or the coal corner of the portal rooms and heading through the Carnitine Gate.

Rules for the event

• Joining the competition means you agree to the following rules or face disqualification.
• No griefing (doing so will result in disqualification and potential ban).
• The plot must be built on to some degree within 14 days of receiving it otherwise you might lose your place, depending on the demand for plots. (Something must be there essentially, someone claims early spaces at the core of the town and then leaves it follow all competition. My idea as a means to reallocate these plots if they are left vacant.)
• Must not exceed bounds anywhere or face disqualification
• Water, lava and fire may be used. They must NOT overflow your property at all.
• You may dig below your plot as long as you do not exceed the bounds of your plot.
• The other rules of ECC apply here and the local chat is to be regarded as if you were at spawn as the competition ground can be expected to attract a high volume of players.
• You must have a clearly visible sign in front of your plot saying your name and the name of all other players in your team.
• You may only have one entry in the competition. (You may not be a part of a team and have a solo plot as well, this counts as two entries into the competition).
• Groups may not be larger than 5 members.
• There is to be no bribing of judges, doing so may result in disqualification of the competition.

Groups:
This year, unlike last year, we will be allowing users to participate in groups. Groups can be anywhere from 2 - 5 users and will have a single plot to build their entry into the contest. When a group applies, the designated ‘Leader’ of the group will have their name placed on a sign in front of the plot and locked by a staff member.
The group leader will be the one who will receive any prizes after the judging. Prize such as Gift Cards and Nstar tools will be given to the group leader only, as you know giftcards cannot be transferred, they will belong to the group leader.
The staff team suggests that any users intending on participating in groups should write up an agreement in the form of a contract to assure that all prizes are distributed fairly among its members.



Disclaimer:

• In the event of grief Judges may help fix the property but are not expected to aid in replacing high value blocks, such as gold or diamond blocks. Grief reports will, however, be filed in situations like these.
• A low value project that is well done is more likely to win than a high value job done poorly. Do not expect the value of the project to influence the vote, only the 'wow' factor will do this.
• The Judges reserve the right to bar and disqualify you on the basis that you are being disruptive or harassing other competitors.
• It is not the staff’s responsibility to give any money won in a team to the other members, it is the responsibility and requirement of the leader of the group. (See Groups section above).
• If you are banned for grief in either of the competition town you not only are disqualified from the event but forfeit any materials and LWC contained inside of your plot. Your plot will be cleared and given to another user who wishes to participate.

10th – 25k
