Before i decide on joining or not i need to know when this whole thing is going to go down because i work so i need to know if i am going to have time to record something or be on for this before i commit to doing it. The competition will be held over a period of 5 weeks and everyone will be asked when the applications are close when the best time for recording will be for them or if the have or can have there recording in. You will be pm and we can sort out the best tine for you. Fantasyheals

What if we don't have a good mic to record the songs? What if we win and we can't record a good enough version? Will the mic play a part in how we score?
IGN: SoftlyPsychotic How long have you been singing for: I started singing in chorus in 4th grade, took lessons from ages 12-13, performed in NYSSMA levels 5 and 6 and received perfect scores (NY singing competitions), and I am now in my school's Select Chorus class with 9 other singers. How long have you been on ECC: Almost 2 years What is you story: I'm SoftlyPsychotic. I'm 17 and from NY. I've been singing and humming since I could speak, and now use my basement as my studio. I joined CEC in late October of 2012, and now I have returned after not being present for the past 10 months. I'm going to college in August, at which I plan to major in Computer Science and Minor in Music. I am a mezzosoprano (for all you singers out there!) and singing is a way I relieve stress. I can't wait to join! Why do you deserve to win: I don't feel like I "deserve" to win, but if anything I hope I win because I have a good voice in the eyes and ears of the judges. What are you going to spend the money on if you win: Rebuilding from what I've missed and lost in the past year. Do you play your own music. Great grandparents sang opera together, grandparents met during a singing competition and my parents sang in a band together; mom playing piano and dad playing guitar. I inherited my great grandma's grand piano and have been playing since I was 6. I can read and write and have made 2 original songs thus far. I have won 4 talent shows starting in the 6th grade. Why do you deserve to win: I believe I deserve to win because I have been performing and singing for a long time. I have much experience with this sort of stuff. IGN: annyonion How long have you been singing for: Over 12 years. How long have you been on ECC: Almost a year. What is your story: I have been singing in church since I was young. My entire family were musicians and so I grew up with music and singing. I was a church youth band singer-leader for over 6 years and started my own music youtube a few years back when I started to record my own songs. I was in choir in high school for a year but lost interest because I didn't want to sing choral-type songs lol. I have also written countless original songs, most of them recorded and sometimes uploaded onto Youtube. I can sing in almost any language if given some time to learn it. Aside from english and my own cultural language, I can/have sung rather decently in Japanese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Indian (Hindi?) and a whole lot more. I find that it is more fun to learn new languages through this process. Because of my years experiences in live singing, I am used to singing in front of a crowd. However personally I suffer stage fright very often, regardless of my experience, so I may sometimes start shaking or getting nervous. Though I always go through with a performance because I love music and singing, it's a part of who I am. Why do you deserve to win: Not so much that I deserve to win, but I do deserve to try. Many people may doubt me and say I can't do this or that, but I am not out to prove anything to anyone. I just want to have fun and if I win money?... Well then gratz to me I 'spose. What are you going to spend the money on if you win: Use it to fund my music station in Teamspeak. NoU.1 averages about 20-30k per live show recording due to shouts and trivia prizes. I would like to use this money to further help my music station expand. I am also starting a new builder town with beautiful plots, and this money would go into developing programs to help committed builders start out on ecc and to raise funds for their residency. I have been singing for several years, and my parents tried to get me into a career, but I would rather go to college and be a doctor... not a singer that could fail at any time xD Why do you deserve to win: I would like to win because I never get any money, and I like to sing What are you going to spend the money on if you win: Maybe getting president, because I really want my first town!
