Minecraft Name: Purplelegoender Suggestion: I'm suggesting for forums when you hover your mouse thingy over another users name it displays their profile information, such as when you click on the name. Reason: I just see it as something new to the forums that may make it easier for people when looking or viewing users on ECC, plus, sometimes it glitches when you click on a users name and it takes forever to load their profile summary. When I suggest this, I don't mean for this to happen on their profile itself but such as when your in Shoutbox, On the main forum page, or viewing members online on the forums is when this should occur. It would make it easier so users don't have to click on their name or go all the way to their actual profile to see details about the user. Other Information: I just think it would be an interesting and cool addition to ECC's forums and would make it easier for some people. I know it's nothing big but it's something I just thought of and it seemed quite cool. Screenshots: It should look something like this when you put your mouse over the users name, just like when you click on the users name. Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?: N/A
I believe that's just slow internet on your end. Sometimes this happens to me and I realize my internet is running very slow. That being said, adding this wouldn't affect the speed the information would load, because you're still requesting the same amount of data when hovering over a name. It would just be presented in a different way.
To be honest: I don't see how this would be useful. You could scroll down on the forum index page and accidentally query 8 profiles very quickly ("Last post by" information, General Discussion to BA/C section). The same applies to the shoutbox, the recent profile posts or dozens of profiles in the "currently online" tab. I see no reason to query such a large number of profiles by accident, especially if the proposed reason is "it takes forever to load their profile summary". Adding this suggestion means you would have to avoid moving your mouse across specific parts of the screen to use the forum normally, which doesn't really make sense in my opinion.
