    For some reason my DEFAULT texture on so far, portals, fire, and water are messed up, anyone know how to fix it? I have a feeling it might be optifine..... Which got uninstalled when I downgraded to be able to play on server.

    If this is in the wrong place then you can move it, I just didn't know where to get help with this so...

    It's optifine.
    Did you have it set to turn off misc. animations like portals and lava and water when you downgraded?

    Well, yes, but I kept the fire and portal purple on, so I guess it must've thought I had them all off?

    Try reinstalling optifine before they update to 1.0.0 and see if it fixes it.
