Hey guys!
As you all might be aware, part of the new spawntown hub project is trying out a new idea of running dedicated communities right at spawn. What we hope to achieve is to foster an active and bustling spawn as well as provide immediate opportunities for users to be settled into right at spawn.
As such, we have two spawn sections set aside for the user of dedicated communities and we are looking for up to 10 users (5 per town) to run these communities right at spawn.
Payment:
75,000 ECD/week per town owner, paid out manually by me on Mondays.
This may change depending on how things are looking, but we will start here.
Rules/Regulations:
As a dedicated community caretaker your responsibility would be as follows;
Maintain an active community that takes on new players whenever possible.
Basically, you can't sit on this town and not do anything and earn the EcoDollar stipend, the town must make a positive impact on the activity around spawn.
- Does not charge for plots/space, but does invite new players to join.
- Attends to grief(shouldn't be a problem if the town is plotted), keeps farms replanted and otherwise ensures the town offers what players need.
- Ensures that the new players have a pleasant experience on the server.
- Properly maintains the town evictions to make sure to try keep space available.
- Attempts to have a positive impact on the vibe around spawn and a new player's experience on the server.
Town must remain in the hands of the registered community owners, they cannot be sold.
Town Owners found to not be actively running their community will have the town will be seized back and a new team will be found to run the town.
- Other users may be added to assist with the town, but only the registered owners will have access to the weekly stipend.
- If the current owners wish to step away and no longer wish to run the town they must inform Administration. If this happens Administration will find a new team to run the town.
If you are interested in contributing to ECC in this way then please gather yourself a team of 5 users(yourself and 4 others) and answer the following questions below and post them.
You can either file as a team as a single app, or file separately answering the questions and tagging each other to indicated you will team together.
I look forward to hearing from you!Code:Who are you and who will your team be? What are your team's goal/vision/ideas for a dedicated town? What experience do and your team have running town communities in the past?
Feel free to ask any questions as well.

Who are you and who will your team be?
Just me, but happy to join up with another team or other players
What are your team's goal/vision/ideas for a dedicated town?
Create a beginner environment where people can experience what makes ECC unique from other servers by seeing what's possible. I want new players to experience a wonderful town community that may even be vibrant with other neighbors. I would ensure that the town and farms aren't ugly, but that they inspire creativity and encourage new players to work on their own homes. Also, having some other spaces that are fun to walk around and through that look nice.
What experience do and your team have running town communities in the past?
I have built many towns throughout the years and in every instance I have had demand for players to join, and have brought in newer players at lower prices as well as more experienced players at higher prices. However, since there are no sales in this town (maybe there should be, so players can learn voting/the market), there will be no experienced players in the town. -
Who are you and who will your team be?
I am Magicware and my team includes: @AJCL, @EraNow, @GooeyLizard9000 and @SwiftRaptor98.
What are your team's goal/vision/ideas for a dedicated town?
Our goal is to provide the newcomer to a warm and cozy town in which the user can learn how to play EcoCityCraft and truly get the essence of what this server means to the rest of us. (Of course this means also get the needed resources so he can start his own journey later in the game, we would just be a "launch platform")
Our idea for how the town will be built would consist of spaces, each designated to the many activities a player can do (fishing, farming, town shop, etc) and we would like to bring something that started out in the earlier (2012 ish) ECC years; town features such as repair chest, ext creations ++, basically every feature we can use to benefit newcomers so they don't have to continuously spam chat asking for stuff like this)
We want to create a community that can make players become great friends and help each other out through their Journey in this server..
What experience do and your team have running town communities in the past?
We both have owned many towns throughout the years, from free/cheap plots to expensive builds and/or farms. I have town control ++ (amongst other features I will also use to help town members) which is really useful for this project.-

Who are you and who will your team be?
I am @TheRealAllyH, my team will consist of @Rip_Peep_2017 , @pikalovr , @Zombie_Jamboree , and @Drgrennthumbatzall .
What are your teams goals/visions/ideas for a dedicated town?
Our team wants to create a user friendly environment not just for beginners, but for players who have been playing a while. We want to create a community of people, not just a plot town. We want to create a place where people feel comfortable to ask questions and learn about ECC, and the community within it. At the same time create an efficient, and aesthetically pleasing town that is just enjoyable to be in. We also want to make simple ways for beginners to earn ECD, and begin to pave their own way as a member of the ECC community.
What experience do you and your team have running town communities in the past?
I personally have a lot of experience with township, as well as co-ownership of towns. Before the reset I owned about 8 towns. 4 of which were active plot towns and the other were being excavated to be turned into plot towns. Nova was a very active community. Constantly adding new people to the point where I had run out of plots (which is why I bought the other 4 towns). I had 3 co-owners, and none of us ever had an issue working with one another. Nova ran very smoothly and we distributed the work equally according to our strengths. Zombie also has experience with plot towns but I cannot speak on her behalf for her experience. All of the members of our team have extensive building experience. Peep and Atzall have tons of experience with farm management. As well as 2 of the members of our team have towncontrolplus+.
I personally have many plans for a town, and am excited for this opportunity. And the other members of my team have expressed the same feeling.-

What are your team's goal/vision/ideas for a dedicated town?
A nice town with a couple Community projects and some free plots for new or returning players so they can set themselves up and some made plots so they don’t need to make their home but some up made plot if they want to make their own homes. We will have some sign out lining the server rule and some little town rules. And some small farms like wheat and stuff like that
What experience do and your team have running town communities in the past?
On the last server I owned 3 towns and was a co-owner in 3 and on the new server I own 1 town and a co-owner in 3 towns
The main two towns are plot towns, the 2 plot town are active but we haven’t been taking new players but we are about to start again because we have just finished making the above ground -
Who are you and who will your team be?
I am @LimeLush. Our team will be @TM_iBeast, @socksforsupper, @TomKFC, and @TankNoodle
What are your team's goal/vision/ideas for a dedicated town?
We would like to build a town that provides players (new and old) with a community experience that enables them to rank up and be active through engaging projects and activities.
Our town would have: plots, shop/service stalls, a town members ran casino, open build space (underground), community events, community mini farms, and more. The focus would be on player engagement in order to retain newer players well beyond the end of advertising.
What experience do and your team have running town communities in the past?
I have personally ran LushLand on the archive Main and MainNorth servers. The town on MN focused on gathering players, providing them with plots, giving them access to player stalls, shops, a casino, and town events. Additionally there was an underground space for players to build freely. These towns eventually provided a home base for the Pokemon Hunt event, which has been running for 10 months now.
TM_iBeast, and TankNoodle have run /warp plots respectively, as well as TomKFC. Additionally, TankNoodle worked on massive build projects with others.-

What are your team's goal/vision/ideas for a dedicated town?
Towns are the backbone of a new player's experience. At least, in my opinion, it is one of the most essential things in new player retention. Towns allow new users to safely store items, have semi-permanent builds, and most importantly, meet other people. In our experience, towns really drive the community aspect of ECC; I have often seen friendships arise from neighbours. As part of this town, we aim to operate similarly to how /warp plots work. With valuable items such as diamond tools and armour being recycled from inactive plots to new players. We will also look at using valuable items in various town events and drop parties in the long run.
Our Vision is a community-driven town that all players are allowed to join, where new players will be introduced to the economy of ECC with knowledgeable leadership guiding and keeping players together. One of the big things we would drive home is the ability for new players to sell wears in "pop-up stalls." Pop-up stalls are a small prebuilt store similar to those at /warp station but with only a couple of chests. This will introduce new players to ECC's player-driven market. This is a way to support new builders and creates a reason for new players to periodically log on to check status. I also want to share that "buzz" when they see someone buying from their shop (It's certainly a feeling I still get when someone buys something from station5!). As part of this "market town," we will push the idea of unofficial "jobs" that many new players often ask for. Without going into detail, this would be an area where established users could request small jobs that new players would have the ability to fulfill for competitive pay.
Finally, in keeping with the theme of the spawntown hub project, should we be granted a town, particularly community1. We would make it our utmost priority to integrate spawn town Biome's build into the community town itself. We already have plans to bring Kennys Crop Farm project over to biome and would be more than willing to integrate and allow usage of the farm to members of the town. For reference, Kennys Crop Farm is a farm project designed to target newer players, with smaller manageable rows that could be more realistically replanted. It will also be priced at a point that new players could easily make back the cost of perms within less than an hour.
What experience do and your team have running town communities in the past?
Mission and I have always been a champion of some reform to the plot towns system, with the core idea of the community towns having roots in ideas proposed by the both of us. Additionally, this team comprises numerous experienced ex-staff members who were active in /warp plots during the COVID hype last summer and are experienced in both setting up users and actively clearing plots. We also know how to manage grief reports, both in towns and in farms, knowing various "tips of the trade," allowing for processing said reports easier for staff. Kenny was involved as a co-owner of the town's Colour and Color and the running of Kennys Crop Farm. Molly has run a prosperous plot town called MountainRidge, and has repeatedly brought up with me a desire to run a plot town on 2.0, and has more than enough enthusiasm for the project. Finally, Gwdwarriorr has proven to be an active and reliable user with a track record of managing users both on previous servers and in other games and brings a fresh perspective to this team.-
