I see nothing wrong with it, could be fun. Not sure what the disagreement about religion and all that is. Everyone has their own believes, if you want Ecc to do something for a specific holiday or another religion post a suggestion don't bash this one...

There are no religious implications in this suggestion. I don't remember Santa or Buddy the Elf making a cameo in the Bible so I don't see what the big deal is +1
(disclaimer: all my christian knowlege comes from my parents, I have never read a bible so I may be worng.) I am very sure Santa is not religious, but chrismas is religious. For reasons I will not state why it is religious, but I do suggest useing a site like google to look it up.
He's suggesting that staff change their skin to elves, which relates to Santa - nothing wrong with celebrating a character.
This is like saying evergreen trees are religious cause they are now associated with the holiday. The current view of Santa (a fat man giving out presents) only has to do with the secular part of The Christmas holiday and nothing with the holidays religious meaning.
Shouldn't everyone who discussed religion get a warning as it is against the rules? To much work for not enough time. Also, thank you to everyone who said Santa doesn't even apply to anything but holiday cheer. I hate people and their "political correctness"
