I'm thinking about getting an eff7 pickaxe but I am wondering if an eff7 is for me or if I should wait. If you are the owner of an eff 7 or have been and have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. The features I currently have that might be important are pyro+, fly (not +), extcommands+, and multihome+.
How much does an eff7 make on average hourly?
What method do you use? (mine in straight line, mine room, fortune later, etc.)
Should I get fly+ or should I be fine since I am mining on a low level.
What level should I mine on?
Is there anything you avoid such as coal?
Do you go through caves or do you prefer to stay on a non-cave route?
@rainbowmaster12 , I recently saw a thread of yours where I saw that you were pretty successful with an eff7 and if you had time to answer these questions it'd help a lot :)
Thanks for any advice!

How much does an eff7 make on average hourly? About 20k-30k for me (including coal and exp)
What method do you use? (mine in straight line, mine room, fortune later, etc.) I mine at an angle, moving back and forth from left to right.
Should I get fly+ or should I be fine since I am mining on a low level. You should be fine. I don't have it and I am just fine.
What level should I mine on? Y=11
Is there anything you avoid such as coal? No, always mine coal with a fort3 and sell it. It is an exp boost and adds to hourly income. Not much else to avoid, minus gravel and dirt.
Do you go through caves or do you prefer to stay on a non-cave route? Non-cave. Eff7 really isn't meant for caving necessarily.
Good luck and I reccomend purchasing an eff7!-

I finally got my eff7 but I'm having a bit of trouble getting into a good rhythm with it. What I've been doing it mining diagonally until I reach a stopping point (dirt, cave, or I have just gone a while) and then I turn around and fortune everything I passed. After my inventory is full I move my potatoes to my enderchest and do /sell all. Would anyone like to help me improve my mining strategy? :)

I use a mining technique called spray mining, where you go in a diagonal line and spray it out on a very wide basis. I mine all ores with the Eff7 except coal and fortune redstone and lapis afterwards. The other ores I sell as ores.

How much does an eff7 make on average hourly? I average 15-16k per hour, including the amount of time required to fortune.
What method do you use? (mine in straight line, mine room, fortune later, etc.) With an eff7, just spam a generic straight path. It is instant break on stone, therefore, you shouldn't really have to worry about that. Personally, I mine in the main worlds and then fortune, as I do not have fly+.
Should I get fly+ or should I be fine since I am mining on a low level. Get ff4 boots.
What level should I mine on? y11-14
Is there anything you avoid such as coal? I don't mine coal, eff7 does not mine ores too quickly, and it seems like a waste of time when it comes to fortuning.
Do you go through caves or do you prefer to stay on a non-cave route? I simply ignore caves and go to the opposite wall of the cave and resume.
Hope this helped :) -
How much does an eff7 make on average hourly?
I didn't measure the time exactly, but when I got the eff7 I paid off a 150k loan for it in 3 days while not even connecting for one of them. So that was about 75k per usable day.
What method do you use? (mine in straight line, mine room, fortune later, etc.)
Moving forward, sweeping left-right with the mouse. Fortuning after the trip.
Should I get fly+ or should I be fine since I am mining on a low level.
See below.
What level should I mine on?
11 or 12 in rising or legacy. Mining world is only useful for fortuning.
Is there anything you avoid such as coal?
If it is in your way, mine the coal. If it is to the side, ignore it. Fortuning takes a long time, I can't get rid of my 10 stacks of c-ore...
Do you go through caves or do you prefer to stay on a non-cave route?
I love to cave-mine for a bit and then tunnel-mine (See above) until I find the next cave. -
