This coming from someone who has never been on staff so take what I say with a grain of salt. If you don't feel like you are ready, you probably aren't. I've been playing on this server for over a year almost daily and I still learn something new regularly.

 

Honestly, the best advice one could give you is to simply not make threads like these. I don't know you personally, but threads such as these look unprofessional and immature. If you think that you're ready for staff, then go ahead and apply. If not, rethink how you could/would act as a staff member, and keep trying to better yourself to the point where you know you'll be a great staff member.
