I've been standing in a 32x32 melon field for over 30 minutes and nothing within it has grown, not even the closest plants.
The same goes for the 16x16 wheat farm layers directly below where I'm standing.
I've restarted MineCraft. I updated to 1.3.2 (I have two PCs with the game installed), and there is still no activity.
I was wondering if anyone else was noticing the same issue?

 

I'd like to be where you are, then, since I just waited another half hour and still have nothing to show for it.

 

It's not that it's slow growing. That I wouldn't be fussed about, since it would at least be growing.
What I'm referring to is wheat staying at stage 1 growth without any variation for the whole 16x16 field, over all the layers, for the past hour I've been stood here. All my melon stems are at the mature stage of growth, yet there have been no melons at all in a 32x32 field of them regardless of which part I'm standing in.

 

I am still having this problem even after the server restart. Is there any way to figure out what I'm doing wrong?
