    I used to have a 500 protection limit as a president but after getting the pilot rank, it somehow fell to 300. Here's a screenshot.

    I hope this helps solve your dilemma, although the only way really to fix this, is to cut down on un-needed LWCs or to buy the "Unlimited LWC" donation.

    Got it, thanks for the info! Though it's a pity that LWC's have been reduced, it would certainly make LWC removals less messy.
