    This thread mainly pertains to the way my recent ban was issued and how I want to clear things up about it.

    Firstly, I was banned for "attempted scamming." To see the details of my ban, here is how I was banned and here is my appeal (I suggest reading these before reading the rest of this post). This appeal is completely honest except for the "week inactivity" part. I was inactive for about 5 or 6 days. Yes, I logged on to say hi to the community once or twice during these 5-6 days of inactivity, but, I didn't actually do anything besides fly around spawn.

    Honestly, I was, and still am, very surprised that I was banned without having more than an hour or two to be able to explain my side of the story and how my situation was a complete accident. Additionally, if the staff team would have allowed me to explain my side of the story, and to show them that the original sign for the loan is still sitting in my vault, maybe their decision would have been different. I would like to suggest that all persons being accused for any reason are allowed to give their side of the story before a consensus is made by the staff team. I am very sorry to the user who I filed a complaint against. This whole situation was a complete accident.

    I have been an active member of the community for two and a half years, and have not ever been banned for any reason in the realm of scamming, nor have I ever lied to the community. As most active players in the community know, I have dealt with an extremely large amount of in-game trades and loans. I messed up once. Once. I honestly do not think the staff team took my 2.5 years worth of activity, clean history, kindness, and helpfulness into consideration when banning me.

    I sincerely apologize for accusing a fellow player for doing something he did not do. However, this was a complete accident and I had absolutely no intentions to scam him.

    I hope I was able to clear things up in this thread.

    This thread is not meant to flame. Please do not post trolly comments.

    You are still a respectable and trustworthy player in my book. Everyone makes mistakes, although I honestly think that you should have been given a chance to explain before being banned.

    I honestly dont understand why the staff made their decision so quickly. You giys shouldve given me a chance to explain my side of the story. I may not have gotten banned if the staff team had given me time to explain the true story instead of assuming and banning.

    I'm going to repeat an observation I've made before, that this kind of conversation is much healthier than the former absolute you-will-not-discuss-bans-no-way-no-how policy. Unless that's still the policy, in which case now I'm in trouble. :)

    This is correct. The mistake I made was being careless and forgetting about Khrones' payment. The staff mistake is stated in my original post. Also I've mail jakeyray18 to discuss the ban, and he has failed to respond after a few days of him seeing the message (which I find very immature).

    I have known you for quite some time Stone, and I do not think that you would ever wish to scam someone deliberately.
    I believe that the staff team should have given you some time to explain your side of the story. But now what is done, is done.

    I would like to clear things up here as you seen to be semi bashing the staff team for taking a course of action that was infact right.

    If you were in our situation.
    Someone complains about someone scamming them say 150k, and they said they were sick and tired of them not being paid back.
    We then ask the accused for them to show a screenshot that they paid using F2,
    This then showed us that he paid over 2 weeks before the complaint had even been made.
    We then investigate this by seeing if the sign was still there where the person had to pay. We find out that the sign had gone. Meaning they must have broken it and taken the money.
    So his means they took the money, 150k, not just $5, a large sum that you would see in your balance, out of the sign and then filed a complaint.

    We then investigated some more by seeing when the sign was broken. the sign was broken 1 week before the complaint was filed.

    We deemed it correct that a user should be banned for this as if you don't know 150k goes into your balance after you broke the sign 1 week previous on a loan repayment that you clearly knew because you reported him, then it does look like Attempted Scamming and Potentially getting another player banned.

    And they could explain themselves in a appeal as you must admit, there is a lot of coincidence within this story for it to be a misundrstanding.

    Afterall, if that person didnt have that payment, he would be banned for scamming for the second time as he was banned for the repayment of this loan before.

    So the staff acted in the way we did because that was the right way to act...

    In my opinion this was not a fair ban. I have nothing against the staff team (well not as a whole, just one person), but you staff members need to relax. Yes, I fully agree with your reasoning for the punishment StoneIronZ recieved, but you didn't need to take it to such an extremem level. The guy forgot. Who doesn't forget something every once in a while? This is a common human error and I don't think he should be punished and have this damage his credibility. No hard feelings to the staff that had a say on this complaint, but next time check the users ban history, see if they are a frequent scammer, and then react accordingly. It drives me crazy when innocent people get banned for something they have very little control of. Talk to the user directly before handling a complaint, mail them, start a conversation with them... have some form of direct contact where you can get heir side of the story. Since I have returned to ECC I have seen far too many cases where mods cannot properly handle a 150 max player server. I'm not trying to put staff down or anything like that. I'm just saying you should be less 'ban happy' as we called it back in the day.

    I explained our reasoning behind the system and the decision we took, we left the appeal open for 12 hours, not a lot of time but enough time that if you check in the morning or afternoon you'd have seen it,
    We as a Staff Team were all on at the time and could all talk about the situation and thats why we acted in a swift manner that we did.

    Just seems like your blaming us for you making a mistake, sure its a mistake, but its a big mistake with quite a bit of money at stake,
    The system itself is fine the way it is, if the situation had been different, and the other person hadn't have paid,
    I have seen lots of people bump there complaints and complain about wait times, so yeah...

    You were banned for trying to scam someone (even though it was human error) you appealed and your unbanned, the staff handled it as quickly and had enough evidence to suggest you were scamming.

    Sorry for not waiting for your reply on the appeal?
