I think that we should raise the price of charcoal as it it takes time through the process of making it than logs which sell for more money.
Also, this would highly support F.A.R.O.D.

Charcoal should /sell for 20-25% more than a Log. A Log is, effectively, charcoal ore. Once burned in a furnace, a log becomes charcoal, just like gold ore becomes a gold ingot, iron ore becomes an iron ingot, and diamond ore becomes a diamond.
Now, diamonds and diamond ore have no /sell price, we know that.
The ratio of price from gold ore to gold ingot is 15/20 or 75%. The ratio of price from iron ore to iron ingot is 7/10 or 70%.
Logs and charcoal have exactly the same price. The price of charcoal should be raised somewhere in between $.48 and $.52. Then, the ratio between ores and ingots would make more sense.

Yes plain wood is easier to get than charcoal though..

I would have to agree with this. It takes some added time and resources to turn logs into charcoal. It's redundant whether or not it's easier to get or not; doing this would just make the log-to-charcoal price proportional to other smeltable ores.

I think charcoal should be $1. I mean, we need to turn the focus of the economy to something other than pumpkins. Mining is dangerous (lava, holes), animals and mobs are almost unfindable (I say that because I killed a skeleton in the regular world earlier today), I have no idea how they get exp, and farming other than pumpkins is unprofitable. Charcoal is farmable-ish, requires wood/coal/previous charcoal to make it, and I do not want to stare at pumpkins for an hour.
