Being a SG player i find one of the struggles of sg is trying to up to the top 100 top sg players. Now i know its possible to make it. I think that we need a new system, I think there should be a new rule to help players like me get higher on the leader boards. There are many players on the leader boards that are either inactive or banned which there are fairly a good amount of the banned users on the leader boards were banned for hacking. I think there needs to be a change. My suggestion is making a law that if you are inactive more then 30 days your stats are reset just like and if you were banned for hacking your stats are reset as well. This makes it so we can get this leader boards filled up with more active players and have a real legit leader boards not one just filled up with banned users or inactive players. The leader boards i hear have been frozen like this for a long time. Now its time to change that. Now that the server is heading the more professional way with new the new pristine forum and soon to have a pristine logo, I say we have a more professional SG leader boards. -Baby
If sg was more active, A monthly Leaderboard would be really cool, or like a bi monthly Leaderboard, A bit like seasons in other games. but i dont think anything will be done unfortunately because its not active enough.
No. Just no. Just because someone hasn't played many games of SG as of late or is banned doesn't mean their stats don't count. I personally have played maybe a half-dozen games in six months and been on and off inactive and I'm in the mid-30s...I'd personally be really frustrated if my stats got reset because of how much time, effort, and EcoDollars I put into earning them. Secondly, it's important to consider how this would work with medals; if you get reset, they would be removed right? That's not cool for the same reason mentioned above: time and effort. Thirdly, if they leaderboards don't shift much as it is...with a points boost, wouldn't that make it easier for you to climb them? Resetting the leaderboards doesn't sit right with me even though I hardly ever SG anymore.
Agreed. True. Even if they weren't removed once they have been obtained: Let's say I spent a months reaching 290000 points and am extremely close to the diamond SG medal. Then an IRL problem occurs and I need to leave ECC for 1.5 months. The progress of multiple months of working towards the medal would be lost. Sorry, but I do not see a reason to wipe the statistics a player has acquired. Even if they might not be as active as they used to be, they still earned their statistics and deserve to have them visible without a reset.
I don't play SG much, but I have to say this suggestion is really dumb. People have worked hard to be in the top 10 or top 5 of the SG boards and to have it potentially removed from them I think is unfair.
I remember I suggested this a year ago, people didn't seem very interested at the time, but I still think this would be a good way to make sg more interesting for newer (and older) players.
Because the times don't lie. The top 50 combined have spent 250+ hours EACH in SG to get the 250k points. It's not like it was easy - hacking or not. I guess I don't get it...as I said in my earlier post - wouldn't it make it inherently /easier/ to climb into the top 50 as most of them are inactive or banned anyway? As for resetting hacker's stats, that's been suggested before and denied because things break.
Just because they are banned or innative doesn't mean they deserve their points removed. LIke @goblizz said, a large amount of time and effort was put it to obtain those points and to remove it from the players would be a massive slap in the face.
Now your saying if some one was that high up in the leader boards it would take effort ? How does it take effort to hack and win matches ? Hacking is just a ez win.
I still think a bi monthly or monthly leaderboard would be nice... With a prise at the end of each "season"
considering that the top 10 users on the sg leaderboards have never been legitimately banned for hacking, saying that the top users on the leaderboards are hackers is nonsense.
