+1 As Andrew posted here on their twitter, https://twitter.com/EcoCityCraft/status/287199193079099393, apparently this change was made to affect Residents and Builders. As a resident, I feel that there was virtually no change, considering that I only had 40 chests (quite a lot for someone living by themselves). However, as you guys have seen and said in the past couple of posts, this change affects all players Mayor+ the most, due to the mass amount of signs they must place in their town(s).
plain and simple greed will be the killer of this server, it's nice to allow access to certain features for a donation but to lower something as simple and basic as lwc limits to a point where we are forced to donate to keep everything we need locked is simply unethical and wrong, i am currently unemployed and am unable to dontae even 5 bucks so telling me i have to donate to play is wrong, i was already having trouble staying under my 200 locks limit and now i don't know how im gonna function as the co mayor of a town with only 50 locks, bottom line this is stupid and very greedy and i'm definitely gonna look into going to another server because of it
Although I agree with the premiss of lowering the own limit. The way it was rolled out was terrible, with no warning, the imit was dropped drastically, leaving many hopeless and enraged, if they had given time for people to remove there locks, or allowed time for people to revoke the change, also, like Ike said, I think increasing the lwc limit for tycoons and ecoleaders would be great : D
what could you possible have that you need 200 locks for, i'm using 15 and i have things in a town to lock! i honestly don't know how that is possible
Whitesox, this may not be a problem for you. That is completely understandable, but think about people like Welikeike22, KMaxwell, Joliver1998, any tycoon, ecoleader, or rich player! I would definitely not like to unlock most of my chests, though I only have around 100 needed locks.
And you've been here since Feb 13th, 2012? I'd like to see what you have privated in a whole town, and how many people you have living there.
it doesnt matter what i have locked the point is to keep what i have locked i have to spend money i don't have, and like i said donating for stuff like flying or tpa is reasonable and understandable but to take away something as basic as my ability to protect things, from griefers and ppl just looking to steal stuff they didnt earn, that i spent time to acquire is wrong, bottom line... and don't say anything about lag being the reason there's no way the lwc cache can be big enough to cause any kind of noticable lag not to mention they just eliminated all lag from what ive heard by doing away with live map so if by some chance locks are causing any kind of lag maybe take the server limit back down some, people that have the finances to have already spent real money on the game wont be affected by the server limit anyways
To those of you complaining about the lowering of the lwc's here, be grateful you still have them. If he truly wanted to "force" you to buy extra lwc's, he would have made locking things a donation feature in itself. I never had this problem when I was just a mayor. I've been on server's that are ranked in the top 10 of their type, and have had to put up with having things stolen all the time. This was because the only way to lock a chest, was to put a block above it. Andrewkm runs this server the best he can and the fact that you get all butt hurt over locks being taken away is quite frankly annoying. I do agree with Harryhaz1 that he should have given a little bit of a warning, but oh well. Get over it. Be grateful this server still has great people, great plugins, and runs smoothly like 95% of the time. *edit* I would also like to add, that those of you who complain about not having the money to donate to the server. I have over $300 in donations, while I have only donated $15 of my own money. I work at a minimum of 4 days a week, I'm a full time college student, I maintain a social life with all of my friends in college, and I still manage to find time to get on an make some money in the game. If you don't know how to make money, ask someone. It's really not that hard, I promise you that. So save up your money, find someone trust worthy who is willing to donate for you, and bam, you have your features.
Uh.....I have 2 stores, 1 bank, 1 hotel and even then i barley had enough....if it is not effecting you then why bother!
i agree that is a thing that if you do get tycoon you have money so what are you going to do with money i would buy more towns or save for ecoleader so can even get more lwc and get even more towns
They Wouldnt get rid of them......only builders and resident and mayors should vote because its only affecting us not u presidents!!!!!
Everyone is affected by this, aside from those who have unlimited lwc's already. P.s I didn't vote, I just left my thoughts.
