Minecraft Name:
@Ladyvamptress
Suggestion:
Make it so challenges reset upon island reset
Reason:
I started off my SkyBlock adventure on a team island. I did many, many challenges there, but the island became so laggy for me that I couldn’t move, and so I went off and created my own island. I now am struggling for resources. Just would be nice if your going to start with a fresh island, to start over the challenges again so you can have all those valuable resources available to you at your new place.
Any Other Information:
Now I’m not sure if there is a way to exploit this, I thought this was a bug at first but was informed it’s intended and could be changed if the community agreed. So just posting this for thoughts/opinions.
*Edit*
To make this suggestion a bit more clear. You get a few island resets (for free), I feel like a challenge reset should happen with each island reset (for free). Or, if it could be configured this way, make it so you can choose to either reset your island or your challenges with you free resets.
As an after thought, to give people even more of an option, maybe just add challenge resets to BuyCraft for $10 or something. Not sure if you can limit how many challenge resets you can buy, but only add it if you can limit it to cut down on paying to win. 1 extra challenge reset per month?

Or challenge reset comes with the clear island reset count feature if you dont want to give it to every single reset. -

Or...
If possible, buy a challenge reset, like you can buy a reset clear through BuyCraft? I mean I’m not trying to make this pay to win or anything, just thinking about it more and you’ll get to keep the money from the challenges, and it doesn’t seem fair to be able to redo them and get more money. The whole purpose of the suggestion is to just make the challenges reset for people who make a new island, to gain the rewards at their new place.
Maybe some people won’t want to reset their challenges. Maybe it’s not fair (or even an exploit) to allow people to redo the challenges if they get to keep the money from the previous times they’ve done challenges. So yeah, might be a bit more fair to charge $10 or something for a challenge reset. I don’t know really, just any way to make it possible to reset the challenges upon created a new island would be nice.-

I'd rather have an in-game way to restart challenges. I myself will restart challenges when I get the chance or when I feel like I need to. So I'd rather not pay real life money and make the server p2w-

Everything possible should be done without the involvement of IRL money especially in the skyblock gamemode. -

Keys to crates that have items obtainable in game.
Ranks have items that are also obtainable in game.
Realistically you dont need more than 3 islands so the island resets are enough.
But challenges are a massive part of Skyblock and without them certain essential items aren't obtainable so having a limit on them AND making the only way to remove that limit is by buying challenge
resets for irl money is absurd.
I myself plan on doing monthly challenge resets if not more frequent and I'm sure as hell not going to pay irl money just to obtain items that are supposed to be available in game by default. -

I’m with you on the pay to win thing, but here... most things are pay to win. This suggest makes it no different since when you first start off you get a few island resets for free, before you have to pay for them. You can do the challenges for free, why not give the same option as the island resets for people who are in a tight spot with the challenges? Another option is like Mission said, include a challenge reset with the island reset clear package... which fits the original suggestion, I only added the whole $10 feature in there to try and give even more ideas to people options.

So after reading the suggestion, and considering the current system of SB, I do believe, like ladyv suggested, there should be some sort of way to reset challenges or just make it so challenges reset with every island reset. Again, as stated above, you can buy island resets and the challenges can be done for free, so why shouldn't there be a reset option?
There seems to be a 'problem' for players who want to restart, and currently, they're prevented from fully restarting due to not being able to reset challenges and earn the rewards. If everything is wiped after an island reset, I fail to see how allowing a challenge reset to be bought would be a disadvantage to other players if mostly everything including inventory is reset?

@Kaslan, I think I worded something wrong here. I’m not saying make challenge resets only obtainable by paying $10. The whole point of this suggestion is to have challenges reset when you reset your island. Meaning that every time you reset your island, you also get to reset your challenges for free.
The whole $10 for challenge reset thing was added because after you use up your island resets, you need to pay $15 (or wait for the server reset) to reset your island again. I thought since you can pay real money for more island resets, why not throw the challenge resets up there too. Gives more options for people to not reset their island, but still be able to reset their challenges. Maybe you’re right and this aspect is too pay to win. Mission had stated to just add challenge resets to the island reset package, which might be the better option. I have and will be editing things to reflect this in the first post. I hope this clears up what I meant.-

Ranks and features like Fly arent necessary in the progression of an island, although yes they do help.
Also let me clear my point, I'm not against adding a buycraft package to reset challenges, nor am I against combining it with the current island reset package.
My point is to add an in-game way of restarting challenges without having to restart the Island, because challenges are essential in the progression of an island and some challenges are going to be repeated hundreds of times and the limit currently is only 100.
Sure Idm making challenges reset by changing islands, but I want a way so i can reset them with ECD or something similar. -

If you would like another way to be added that isn’t through BuyCraft so that it uses ecd straight from you, you might need to make a different suggestion for that. They might be able to implement that. I just want a way to reset challenges, don’t really care how it’s done, just that you can do it as currently you can’t at all.-

We can't add clearing challenges to buycraft because people can buy them maliciously for other players.
Will investigate clearing them with /is reset -
