Short story: I attended (community) college as someone over 40. Saw a lot of people I called "13th graders" because they behaved like they were still High School. The teachers couldn't call out their behavior because they were employees and had to be nice. I like to believe they like having me, an older student, in the classes to say the things that they WANTED to say, but would get into trouble if they did. Story time is over. ***The following is directed at the general population of "you", not directly at Stoler.*** So, WHY does it matter? So the Staff has a chat. So what? Did you honestly think that they didn't? Of COURSE they have a channel to discuss Staff things while in game. I'm pretty sure they also have a forum that non-Staff can't access too. Are they talking about us? Nope... well... maybe... ok, of course they are... sometimes. Is that a bad thing? Personally, I think they may talk about people and they're most noticeable traits, in between helping Builders and checking glitches and answering complaints and... About me? I would think might talk about something I have or am presently building. Or maybe this response that I am writing. Or possibly how I seem to not give a darn about some child's over-inflated sense of importance that just seems to NEED to discuss "free speech" or "rights" inside a private business where rights are what the owner allows you to have. ...Nah, just what I'm building For anyone absolutely shocked (or dismayed) that Staff has their own chat channel, WHY are you shocked (or dismayed)? Do you think they are talking about you in a negative manner? If so, do you secretly think that they are correct in their assessment of your character... and want them to have a different opinion? I wonder how you could go about changing everyone's (including the Staff's) opinion of you? Hmmm.... *ponders*
The problem is, the constant denial. Staff act like it doesn't exist. Therefore I want to show pure evidence of it's existence.
You did. You have a picture showing a chat with in the front. Now what? I think you just want to be "right", be able to tell everyone else that you were "right", and have someone on Staff confirm that you were "right". Again, "so what?" Whether the Staff has a Chat Chanel or not is a pretty pointless issue to be arguing about. The Staff has some secrets. They pretty much need to control information access to the "backstage" part of ECC. The Staff communication methods are part of that "backstage"... and no one that is not Staff NEEDS to know anything about it. If, for some reason, someone on Staff DOES confirm (let's say Phys, just for the heck of it) that there is a Staff Chat. Now what? Neither of us are on Staff, so we'll never see it anyway. *shrugs* There are only 2 reasons, that _I_ can personally think of, that this thread should continue: 1) You absolutely MUST be proven right. (reference) 2) If you get it confirmed, you will want it to be accessible by everyone (reference) Maybe there is a third... *shrugs*
But if it's proven, why do staff keep denying and concealing it? I just don't like being silenced. Especially when no rules say anything about that.
There exists such a thing "what happens in staff chat stays in staff chat" What is said doesnt have to be, nor will be, ever given out to public unless its really minor things (like in my siggy)
