    Brief Description:
    90% of the time the block being mined will reappear after mining it while standing on stone brick stairs.
    Instructions:
    1. stand on stairs
    2. try and mine(it was smooth stone for me)
    3. watch the magic happen
    How many times did you recreate this bug?:
    9 times out of 10
    Result:
    the block did not produce any item and reappeared
    Expected Result:
    the block should have mined as usual

    it was underground in the main world (Y=30) i just tried it again it is working better than it was but is still respawning the blocks often. is this my connection then maybe?

    It could be a connection issue but I doubt it. I assume you're using a pick, what enchantment does it have?

    Its an iron pick and also a diamond pick no enchantments.
