    There is a server with around 600+ players a day and like 5/6 of them use "hacks".* And that server was my favorite before I found ECC, and sometimes I'd like to play it but it is almost impossible to play without clients because I'm mostly going to pvp against other modders. Am I allowed to use modified clients on other servers?

    *The server allows "hacked clients" and a lot of their staff use them too.

    Rule of thumb: as long as it's not on ECC, nobody cares.

    If the server allows it, then you are free to use one. Just don't connect to ECC with it.

    Just like Jacob said, just don't use the same minecraft profile. I have a profile with mods that I don't use anywhere else besides ecc because on maps I download I could press a button I don't want to.

    Because you just admitted to using hacking clients on other servers. It wouldn't be a stretch to think you might be using it on ECC, too. Therefore they'll keep an eye on you to make sure you're not breaking any rules.
