Bots aren't that easy to put together. You could say "Where do i find a town?" in a hundred different ways (Use How instead of where, towns are found where? if i wanted a town, where do i look?)
Bots is kinda out of the question...but a help channel (used by staff, and knowledgeable players to help others) would be a go for me.

 

I think it is quite easy for a builder to get a plot in a town, and get to resident.
1. Vote for ECC and get an easy $1200. 2. Buy a small plot in a town (Most towns I have seen sell plots for as little as $1000). 3. Start Farming, Fishing, or Mining and save up. Voting every day for ECC will speed this up dramatically.
Just in my opinion, yes, builders are exploited simply from their lack of knowledge of the server. But, I do not think it is unreasonably hard for a builder to get to Resident. If the Builder enjoys ECC, he/she should be willing to spend a week or so before becoming Resident. All in all, this is just my opinion.

 

Ughhhh... Another builder mistreation post. I'm just gonna say, builders aren't babies. It only took me a few days to get resident. Don't spoil them. You got to res+ haven't you? Otherwise, you wouldn't be posting here. Also, my brother was at one point a builder with 25k!

i see the point on having a builder free town some buillders just join server to grief all they can then dissapear for ever alhough i treat all ranks eqauly i would trust a res alot more than a builder because a res has hard work into getting that rankbut builders always beg for money i say go farm pumpkins or fish sure ill give a dolar here and there but when im broke and a builder accuses me of being a jerk for not giving them money i ay earn it like i did and that is my opinion on builders

I think that mistreating builders is very wrong. I have seen a few people ask other players to see if they want to make fun of builders. I have seen it and its very wrong. Builders should be treated fairly like any other rank and treat others nicely too.

 

Yes...many of the higher people ignore lower ranks. When i turned mayor, another mayor said to me in chat "I guess i can talk to you now, your not resident anymore."

I can understand why residents get more perks, it shows they spent some time on the server, but builders get mistreated.

I've seen towns that are resident+
I don't like this bias and separation of the classes.

That's why i usually lend builders a helping hand in chat, and don't turn them away from my town.

I was never a builder. I was a --Guest--. We didn't even have ranks when i joined the server at first, they were merely added so we could get our homes privatized.

I don't like builders! They're always asking me for loans, money, or a job! Especially when i'm [NOT] advertising anything of the sort. They think that just because i'm an eco-leader i have alot of money, but thats false! Infact, i think we're discriminated against more than builders! Perhaps i'll create an [Eco-Leader] rights movement!

It's not just builders being mistreated, we residents aren't always being treated with the respect we should be :/

 

if you want to make money, you have to work for it... its not hard...

I joined the server, you can see how recently... I found a little coastal spot of land in the mining world and I proceeded to build a 64x64 wheat farm filling in the dirt and leaving the natural water in the holes since I did not have water perms. Planted wheat and harvested.

I repeated this a few times, I got griefed twice, but no big deal, just replant and continue on my merry way.

During resident I established an unclaimed down in the wild near another town with a portal. I build a more permanent farm setup, and got mayor...

The problem is that these builders are running around trying to auction off 3 pieces of iron... like its even worth a trip to spawn to sell something for a net profit of 8 cents over the server price. Then they buy a full set of diamond armor and 5 lotto tickets.

Much like real life, poverty is a state of mind, not an account balance.

 

I don't think they are really mistreated. Maybe a little bit. I didn't have problems as builder.
