@AdmiralD in my opinion I like this system much better it gives builders an idea of how much they actually have to work to earn the money instead of just getting it, then realizing it's too hard to get mayor and quitting with the resident rank that you paid them to get
I agree with you, this system does seem to work better. It is still sad that so many players decided to take advantage and "scam" the original program. The ones that played right have been successful as far as I know. Like you said, the current system gives players an idea how much effort is required, or in the case of a few, have had friends from the server help them out which is no problem since those players have a built in success factor going for them - cough... Yoshi ...cough In addition, there are many other players offering help so that newer players are able to be successful!
