Well... if i remember correctly, build gates dont move. Andrew just refreshes the whole area with whatever seed he wants. So your chest is probably gone... o_O

 

I believe the gates actually did move this time. Some are out of the old world border and some are underground. He still may have wiped the old gate location due to the fact it was probably griefed like crazy and ugly. I would suggest looking at the world map and looking for places that are completely destroyed, that may have been the location of an old gate.

 

Build gates were in fact moved completely this time.
