Sad truth: The voting sites are incapable of properly sending a signal to ECC. Nothing the server could fix.

 

Once, about a week ago, I got 4nstars... Because I got lucky that day and got an extra. This happens all the time, I got only one today and the day before the vote reminder wouldn't turn off for me either. I don't think there is a fix but what you mentioned with new users relying on the nstars is true and a problem, I've had multiple builders show up failing to get any and therefore having no money and quitting right away. It's too bad the voting sites screw up a builders first lifeline of money.

Means the server never received the vote itself.

 

That's cruelest, when it says nstar received thanks for voting but it never shows up in inventory. Maybe that's a legit bug, maybe next time we should screencap and report? All the rest is clearly voting site failure.

Why would it say something in chat but not award the star? That sounds like a bug with the votelistener, not with the voting sites.
Saying it's a voting site problem is silly.

You're right. I misread. OP is confusing.

 

There's a message in-game that says "thank you for voting" or something along those lines. That's what makes it confusing. We thought you meant in-game "thanks for voting" messages showed up.
